i tried that. My 16 year old daughter made me a grandma. Trust them? That has to be earned. I do however trust my oldest son to keep an eye out for his sisters.

So, this weekend has been crazy for me. I've had my 5 kids, my granddaughter and my nephew all here. For the whole weekend. I'm almost babbling incoherantly right now. lol. Then last night a few of my kids went to the local teen dance place in town. They come back and one of my daughters friends that she hasnt seen in a long time stopped in for a "few minutes" just to talk.

Well, at 1 am. I was tired and frustrated and told the boy he had to go. To which he said. Well, I was hoping that I could crash here tonight. I was supposed to stay at a friends and his parents changed their mind. This kid lives out of town. Sooooooooo. I'm left between a rock and a hard place. Either I let him crash at my house which is already overfilled and my daughters are here, OR I tell him to bad so sad and give him the heave ho anyhow!

I ended up letting the kid stay the night. Because well, he's a kid. ( 18 )And I didnt want him sleeping on the street. But I pulled my oldest boy on the side and said. He sleeps in your room. And if he steps one foot out of your room during the night you better come get me. It sounds a bit over the top but this kid has had a crush on my 16 year old daughter for a long time.

So what would you have done?

I wouldn't go back and change anything. I'm who I am because of those experiences.

my sons asthma is really awful in the summer, all the pollen and stuff. He can't mow the yard. Go in the feilds or he has to go and get a breathing treatment when the inhaler doesnt work. For phys ed in school they have to run 1.5 miles.. My son did that and yep. Full blown asthma attack.

having said that! I am SOOOOOOO relieved that my son can't get accepted. He's upset because he wanted to join the Marines. But because of his asthma they told him he wouldn't be able to join.

I was always the one responsible for taking the cars to the mechanic.... even for getting the oil changed.

on a serious side though... if the tensioner is bad don't ya have to replace it? or can it just be adjusted?

My serpentine belt just went on my car. Or it didn't go quite yet. Just enough so I can't drive the dang thing because you would have to be Hercules to steer the damn thing. Mechanic says, I can get to it next thursday and it may be the tensioner. Sigh!

I tried it as well with my ex. It didn't work the second time around for the same reasons that the first time didnt work.

We still talk to eachother though. We can even hang out at eachothers house and watch a movie with the kids. Or take them all to dinner. I know it will never be anything more than friends though and he's finally realized it too.
