Topic: What Would you do? | |

So, this weekend has been crazy for me. I've had my 5 kids, my granddaughter and my nephew all here. For the whole weekend. I'm almost babbling incoherantly right now. lol. Then last night a few of my kids went to the local teen dance place in town. They come back and one of my daughters friends that she hasnt seen in a long time stopped in for a "few minutes" just to talk.
Well, at 1 am. I was tired and frustrated and told the boy he had to go. To which he said. Well, I was hoping that I could crash here tonight. I was supposed to stay at a friends and his parents changed their mind. This kid lives out of town. Sooooooooo. I'm left between a rock and a hard place. Either I let him crash at my house which is already overfilled and my daughters are here, OR I tell him to bad so sad and give him the heave ho anyhow! I ended up letting the kid stay the night. Because well, he's a kid. ( 18 )And I didnt want him sleeping on the street. But I pulled my oldest boy on the side and said. He sleeps in your room. And if he steps one foot out of your room during the night you better come get me. It sounds a bit over the top but this kid has had a crush on my 16 year old daughter for a long time. So what would you have done? |

good choice but you should trust your daughters more. i tried that. My 16 year old daughter made me a grandma. Trust them? That has to be earned. I do however trust my oldest son to keep an eye out for his sisters. |

i would have been a little tougher , if he had a car , gone like the wind , he is 18 not really a kid . no car he would have to call somebody , maybe parents , a friend . i am not a tyrant . it is the way i was raised .

Thanks. I tried to do what I would hope someone would have done if it were my kid in the same circumstance.
And yep. I was up countless times during the night prowling around to check on kids and places.. hehe |

I would have left him stay. BUT my daughter would have stayed in MY room...then you dont have to worry about what is going to happen. ..
