A star works by fusion. When the mass is large enough 2 molecules of hydrogen will fuse together making 1 molecule of helium. This is a nuclear process and is what causes the sun to be so hot. This process can only go as high as iron. Any element beyond can only be produced when a star nova's.
The sun cannot ignite as there is no oxygen in outer space. The poles of the earth have slightly weaker gravity than the equator because like you are saying about the sun, the earths equator bulges giving more mass thus more gravity. I have never thought about the sun having more mass at it's equator, perhaps this is why the solar systems planets go around in a plane. Interesting. Thank you. |

Hello

I'm Warren.
The last time I was single I was 8 years younger and it was a great experience. I don't know that I could keep up with that same lifestyle anymore. I'm thinking that I'll take it as it comes these days and go with the flow. |

Do you still sing?

I sing everyday just to keep rust off the pipes. I've sang in lots of bands through the years, I ran karaoke for 7 years every weekend.
It still is a driving force in me. I'm 58 years old and can still hit most of those high notes I used to. I don't get out and sing in public as much as I used to and I miss that so much. I was self taught, with a lot of help from the music I sang like Kansas,Styx, Rush, and everything that was playing on the radio. At 16 years old I was in a band singing regularly in the bars. The old 19 year old girls, well I've got some memories. Best times of my life was the years I sang in that band. We were all best friends and remained friends. Thanks for the memories guys!! |

Metal of the 80s

I couldn't get past the dance beat of most bands that were considered metal or hard rock. The MTV era was in full swing and every musician had to be a model.
I don't put music on to see a model, I like to hear the talent and passion that a band can do. I'm sorry but Bon Jovi and Billy Squire didn't cut it. 1991 came along and Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden taught the world how to rock again. |
