I don't know if this has been asked, but if gay couples can't marry or adopt, why should they be required to pay taxes to schools and other child-related causes that don't benefit them at all? Everyone has to pay taxes to support schools, it is socialism to a degree. But straight couples and single people have the same problem, so it's not an undue burden on homosexual couples. LGBT adoption is legal in 22 state, btw. True, I understand that where it is legal, but in places where it is not legal to adopt, marry or anything of the sort, why should they need to pay for other peoples children? Straight couples or single people don't have a legal reason why they can't have children, whereas with LGBT couples, they are prevented from it. |

No, I didn't. I don't think you actually understand the question. Yes, I understand the question. Not ALL Republicans do it to all democrats. Is it good when anyone generalizes the behavior of a minority of a group of people as being the norm for all people of that group? No, it's not. So maybe you should address what people actually say instead of generalizing bad behavior, of which they may or may not be guilty. That's the entire point. A majority of vocal republicans spent the past eight years calling all those that didn't support Bush or his wars traitors and unAmerican. All the threads on this very site from the election night were "patriotic Americans" saying that they don't support Obama and that those that supported them are terrorists, liberals, baby killers, whatever. So, really, you have no validity. It's not so much a complete generalization as a "Wow, you guys are hypocrites." |

To everyone bashing Obama saying they will not support him...Do you realize that makes you traitorous and un-American? This runs on the same logic that all of you were calling anyone who didn't support the Bush regime as traitors. It works both ways. well maybe not traitors but as defined by the patriot act it does make them domestic terrorists It was more a reference to all the bandying around of the traitor, terrorist and unAmerican from the past 8 years.
