That actually has a lot to do with the media outlets on both sides. They make much more money when everyone hates each other. And the candidates buy right into it because thats how the game is played. Its not right but it is what it is.
There would have to be some cataclysmic corporate restructuring of the nations wealth in order for the regular people to finally matter and have some personal power over our futures.

Partisanship in this current political climate borders on turning into outright racism, and its tearing the country apart. Like I've stated before, it does no one any good to point fingers and play the blame game. Progress comes from solutions not backbiting and mudslinging. I dont give a sh!t about who did what, I want solutions for now, and for my future.

In other words keep the healthy dialogue going, its way more productive and far less irritating.

Pssh Florida is the most effed up state ever, there's a reason Florida has its own tag on Fark.com, which would be because its action-packed with weirdos and nutjobs.

That being said its the MLBs loss that the Sox arent going to the series. Phillies/Rays? Thats gonna be the lowest rated world series in long time.

That being said...go Phillies!

Now a Cubs/Red Sox series? That would've been EPIC.

I actually pay quite often. It baffles me that women who make decent money and could afford to pay for a date, wont do it.

Well its not fair to the other women that you're an angel.

actually military service should be mandatory

I could not vehemently agree more.

Military service should absolutely be mandatory.
And I'm not talking about some Air National Guard pencil pushing either. If the spoiled rich kids of this bloated nation actually had to contribute something to this nations future I would throw an effing party...

The blame game helps no one.

Here are the FACTS:

"Neither Barack Obama nor John McCain is talking about this problem. In fact what they're saying right now will make the problem worse. If you saw the first presidential debate, you saw Jim Lehrer try to pin these guys down on how the Wall Street bailout would affect their plans. You also saw them both duck the questions. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center says McCain's plans would increase the national debt by $5 trillion over the next 10 years, while Obama's would increase the debt by $3.5 trillion. Right now one of the biggest unspoken campaign promises for both men is to offer you lots of tax cuts and/or new programs the country doesn't have the money for.

Like everyone else, we're praying that the U.S. bailout and the world's central banks can put out this financial fire, fast. Realistically, the country is going to be adding a lot to the national debt over the next few years. There's no way around it, and frankly balancing the budget during a recession is difficult and may not even be advisable. But once we've got the private sector's bad debts under control, we've got to get the federal government's debt under control, too. The long-term problem for the federal government is predictable, inevitable -- and completely solvable, if politicians show some leadership and the public starting demanding some real answers."

The whole article is actually pretty excellent no matter what side of the fence you're on. (and for the record I straddle it right down the middle all day.)

What I think is a joke is that any conservative would dare run their ignorant mouth about "spending habits". Do you have any clue what our National Debt is right now!? noway

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

So here's an idea...how about every one pull their heads out of their asses and stop whining about campaign spending and pointlessly pointing fingers. Y'all sound like a bunch of petulant children. Dems AND Reps all had a hand in this tragedy of a government we have now.

Well first you remove the feathers, then cut the head off and make an incision under the ribs so you can clean it.

Now get some flour, breadcrumbs, butter, paprika, salt&pepper, and a pot with some canola oil...
