How to start this? What to say?
The sun is rising beginning a new day,
The birds are singing in glorious song,
The trees bend as the wind begins to blow,
New flowers open up beginning to show,
I see no fault this day, no wrong.

Slowly everything grows dim and dark,
And tortured pasts renew their mark,
Fear sets in and masks my joy,
No place to run, no place to flee,
I feel this darkness take hold of me,
And I fear it... now helpless as a boy.

What's that I see? A ray of light?
Come to aid me in my plight?
Indeed it has, it beckons me,
As I reach, the darkness dies,
The light so bright all else subsides,
I close my eyes and at last I see.

Standing now within the grass,
My rescuer revealed at last,
