Nightmares
|
|
i had rotating recurring nightmares for about 7 years as a child. there were 3 different nightmares that would take turns torturing me every single night. i feared falling asleep, and have only recently been able to stabilize my sleep patterns for the first time in my 40 plus years.

feel the breath of someone else
on your neck, has it been so long did you forget how it felt desire, desired mutual need, want something, a faded memory brings it all in focus a look, a stare a match to a gallon of gas it's been too long it won't be long it won't last long but it will be almost right and you will soon be ready to try again |

i'm falling apart at the seams, it seems
aching constantly the gut, less reluctant to leave my feet, failing me (so that's what a bone spur feels like) hair leaving my head reappearing...elsewhere so hard to wake up blown out, physically, mentally then she smiles at me, her infectious giggle her bold optimism, in spite of her own losses lately positive reinforcement "i love you daddy!" a hug, with so much meaning my little girl adds years to my life and for a while with her i'm a kid again |
