I have no problem putting my image out there. Either they like it or they don't. Only two choices they have, really. Either way, physical attraction is a part of it. Yes, they can be attracted to my online personality, or my level of intelligence as evidenced by my informed discourse...but eventually they are going to wonder just what I look like. So...even if I had no photo...enquiring minds would want to know.

Even if you think it's amicable, it can be difficult to maintain any kind of relationship with someone you've had sex with in the past. Better to just let it go.
