That covers tonight's three subjects. If you have any questions, leave a message for either Rathil, or myself, and we will be more than happy to elaborate. The next lesson will be covering magic, and its uses. That will be when I return, I must be going I told Ifritius that I would catch up with him.
((For those of us just tuning in, you may scroll back a couple pages and follow along in tonights lessons)) *Dissappears back into thin air.* |

Good point Barbus. If you simply swing at the rats it is hard for the story teller to tell if that particular rat has already been attacked and dealt damage. I need specific information to accurately run the combat. |

for sake of arguement, I am not going to name people in this lesson.
I have been watching when a group of people went to a hobbits house, and realized there was a lot of random swinging going on, when they encountered a few large rodents. "Swings at the rats" unnacceptable. "Rathil, I will be attacking the one on the left" Acceptable then you would roll to see if you hit the rat, if you did, you do damage. if not, meh, what can I say? If you really call your shot, like in game of 9 ball, it will be at a disadvantage, your to-hit may go down a little, but if you hit, the damage may be greater. |

That covers initiative, and the melee round.
How many of you were here when I discussed the "Called Shot?" |
Initiative, in our game is the order in which people will be playing, so we shall roll initiative, if an event takes place where there will be combat, the storyteller will stop and ask the group to roll initiative, each player, and enemy gets a roll, so the order will work like this, lowest number rolled goes first, then second lowest etc... The round ends when the player has taken action, either moved, attacked, or defended, also it takes one round to switch weapons, so, as a storyteller, we will assume that you are using what ever weapon you have in hand on your player sheet.

ok, who here has not heard of the term Initiative in the rpg world?
Alright, are we all ready?

Just like I said earlier, anyone is allowed, please join us, but do not waste my time, I am here for those that are serious about keeping Sinatorium out of the hands of the evils out there.

Alright, you may be in the class.
*Addresses the entire room* Alright, since the school is not ready, answer me this, who is willing to die for this town? Who is willing to dedicate 100% of their efforts to work together no matter what their differences are to accomplish a task? Stand now, and I will lead you to greatness, or sit, drink and be merry, there is no shame if you do not join, but I want only those that are willing to dedicate themselves. Who's with me?!? I will hold an impromptu class here tonight for those who are willing. |

I would never desert my friends, especially now, I am going to do what ever it takes to get us, neigh, the city through this, I have Ifritius working on making some magical weapons and armor as we speak, I have been working on a lesson plan for the school, and if anyone is serious about fighting for the common good of Sinatorium, they must pass my training first, or I will not allow them out of the city. The basic level of training is free for all, any advanced training will cost a fee, but belive me, I have seen what this group can do, and I know that they will do even better when I am through with them.

I'll tell you what we are going to do, *Barbus appears out of thin air* we, are going to sit here, and sort things out, we cannot all just bust out of here and fight the evils that have us locked in here like prisoners without a plan, that is the way people get killed. Lets figure out exactly what we are dealing with, how many, and divise a way to use what little we got to take em out. First lesson in combat, Strategy.

You are quite welcome. If you'll excuse us, Barbus had asked me to help him this evening in preparing his new school, we shall return a little later.
