Being a CSR is not hard, you have to be polite and be able to read a computer screen. Handle unruly customers that have been on hold for 30 minutes. Not hard

I would assume that there is more to a job at AT & T then just answering phones.

This is for the customer service position

I sent an e-mail I wonder if she won't respond cuz I'm not emo.

She wants an emotional, depressed guy with rocker looks. The whoa is me kinda of guy. Trust me you'll have more fun tieing an anchor around your neck and jumping from a boat.

Disclaimer: I'm only kidding, trying to be funny

I was looking at some girl's profile and it said I only want an emo/rocker guy. Seriously does style really dictate the way someone is gonna behave or act?? Is one "style" really gonna make that person a better boyfriend or girlfriend?huh

Run for the hills!

wanting to protect american jobs is fine, i'm all for keeping jobs in america. i'm all for bettering of americans, but i also don't have a problem bettering myself to stay above the average curve either. wanting to keep jobs in america doesn't mean giving jobs to people who are not qualified to do them simple cuz their american. now you wanna take this one step further i would also be all for limiting immigration, deportation and using more government funds to educate people here so their more capable of doing better jobs and won't have to flip burgers. half the problem here is also americans being lazy and not bettering themselves.

so tell me why i would want to hire somebody who has no desire to get the education to do the job over somebody that moved here, got the education and is already doing the job?

Good afternoon, thank you for calling AT&T, this is Jane Doe, operator 1234, How may help you today?

This takes a high school education? I truly think its about the money & benefits . Everything seems to boil down to benefits.

What was reported by Lou Dobbs is very old news. Now keep in mind AT&T does not outsource jobs to India. Not even one! It's called "offshoring" jobs to India. Through offshoring they have replaced tens of thousands of American jobs.

They also "outsource" jobs. Again thousands of contracted foreigners are right here with green cards replacing as many American AT&T jobs. Stand outside any American AT&T office at the end of a workday and count the number of American employees you see versus the number of East Indians. It's scary because the numbers are near equal!

AT&T is hardly the only company doing this. All of the major U.S. based corporations are. There are no laws to stop them and unions have become so weak, that they are powerless to do anything about it.

Lack of literate Americans? That's a joke and we all know it! How educated do you think East Indians are? The real incentive is cheap labor. American coutries are attracted to overseas labor for two big reasons, the pay is much less and they do not have to provide health care as these other countries have national health care systems, not ones that the companies have to pay for.

How about this if you think AT&T is bad. I got a few calls recently from my credit card company, Capital One. Each ofthese calls were from East Indians (with assigned American names like "Sean" or "Mary") asking me if I would like more of
Capital One services. I asked them to identify my account before I said I would discuss anything with them. Each gave me my social security number! How about that! Capital One is freely allowing there offshore people in East India with our very sensitive personal information! Talk about the potential for credit card fraud and invasion of your privacy by people of other countries!

So, "What's in you wallet"? laugh

FYI, here's something else to turn your stomach. We educate foreigners here by giving them full access to not only our schools but also our student assistance programs. YES, they even get Pell Grants (free governement cash for tuition with no pay back). So, YOU are paying your tax dollars so you can educate the foreigners who replace us!

Awesome! well written. I may not have deep impact on cancelling with them, but I will be a better imformed consumer

ok, already, when immigrants came to this country they bent over backwards to learn english as they were very , very proud to become an American, the land of opportunity. The only way you can't afford to learn english as a second language is that you are here illegally. Whats good for one is good for all. Would you want an influx of terrorist to come to our country? Anyone here illegally should go home, because pretty soon we'll all need those jobs back. Lets not beat crazy kitty up, she's a nice person and means well. I do get uncomfortable with a bunch of folks speaking in a different tongue, epecially when you turn smile, wave. Than they start laughing. Its either I've got something in my teeth or maybe my ass is to big.

How do we know that these people don't speak English? They were speaking among themselves.

And there was NOTHING at all in this entire thread about illegal immigration., or terrorists. I doubt the family in line ahead of Krazy in the grocery store were a group of terrorists, but I guess you never know. Maybe they were plotting the overthrow of the US Government in Spanish, a language that hardly anyone understands. Right. That must be it. That's what got Krazy's knickers in a twist.

Well than again, they can come take your job next

Well if they can compete in the world of international taxation, welcome.I can use the help.

You miss something dear, I guess you have not been affected in anyway to this growing problem of illegals. do you hire them to do your yard work, clean your house

Anyone tried the spritz on dressings? They are great way to get the flavor around with out drowning your salad in calories. Does anyone happen to have that recipe for ZERO dressing that was popular years ago?

Is that like the Richard Simons dressings they had a long time ago. You sprayed on the dressing, I like that idea
