God, I love English accents and Australian. Dialect can be tricky. Scots guys are very yummy but can't understand a word they say. Some of the russian guys sound pretty cool as welll.

Humm. Are you asking if I'd be less attracted to him because he wears a toupee? Or because he's bald? Do I already know and love this guy and discover this after the fact? Or did I just see him on the street, think he's nice looking and a gust of wind displaces his hair...ooops? I don't get the question Peccy. laugh

lol, good onedrinker

I was thinking it might mean name calling. My best guess.

If people have to guess and try to translate what you are saying then you can't get upset when they call you out on spelling and grammar.

We are not just being school teachers here - we are trying to figure out what people are saying, and if their grammar and spelling is so bad that we can't understand what they mean, then it makes communication difficult.
noway But you said in another post that people talking around you in another language wouldn't bother YOU at all?
So, WHY, should spelling ENGLISH in a group bother YOU at all??
Just wondering?? It is also in JUST a broken ENGLISH..

Maybe, she should have been clearer. She used to live in Miami and it was very difficult for her. I lived in SW Florida during the cuban crisis. Not exactly a stellar place to live. Kitty is a very nice person and doens't deserve to be battered every step she takes. Some people like to stir the pot and get the fire going.
My ABOVE was directed to Hiker, NOT KITTY???noway

Oh, nevermind, thats a different story

name calling is mean, not everybody is perfect, you shouldn't need a BA to post a thread, or make fun of their education by over correcting

oh i agree...it is a good topic. just wanted to give you a heads up to support it with a link to a source so someone can't say you made it up or changed it etc

plus people can view it for themselves. flowerforyou

Ahhh, yellowrose is wise and good, thank youflowerforyou

can i quote you on that if i use the link??? laugh

JUST be prepared for bashing...as with any topic

I can handle it, I sold and handled personal lines in New Jersey during the MTF, JUA era

Just to be clear, Lou Dobbs said, I believe it was 3 days ago that AT&T chairman said they won't hire americans because lack of high school diplomas. Now, I'm trying to find this quote on line. I'm prepared for the abuse, bring it on!

I know where everyones coming from. There are a lot of young high school grads that would be perfect with proper training from the company to acheive this. However, our current administration, plus congress, has made quite the mess of things. So, here's my proposal, it stops now.Companies who have sent jobs overseas that americans could have fulfilled should be levied a tax. Not a small one, but the one that really hurts. No grandfathering either, no boohooing, the company can't make it, come bails us out BS. Of course, this would be so nice in my own little world.

Yellowrose you miss the point all to together. We have plenty of qualified workers in this country, why should we go to India for our consumer needs

This was due to the lack of unqualified people in the US without high school diplomas

that is what you said...is it not?? maybe the company feels that there aren't qualified people based on that. do you have a link to the article?

I shall looked it up on CNN
