umm, I take issue with a bunch of old guys writing about who came first. You have to have a women to give birth. Its the chicken and the egg story. Come to think about, you guys don't have eggs, just tadpoles.

OK we have found a WINNER, WHY DOES WOMEN WEAR CLEAVAGE TYPE TOPS?? this ladie wins the contest..........

Too bad we don't have a contest for literacy.
Just like a woman ,, changing the subject to turn to another male bashing, lol

ahhh, boys, we love you! Women wear clothing not only for themselves, love ones(ty hellkitten), but for other women. Now, before I get attacked, think about its a competition. Woman are catty, they do look at what other women are wearing.

Are there any cooks in the house, Whats the best marinade for steaks .Women do you cook,??? would like to know your ideas. Hard to find a woman that cooks anymore. lol

i don't marinade steak..it ruins the flavor. i just use salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. course, i also cook on a charcoal grill.

Marinade-Olive oil 1/4cup, 5 to 6 cloves chopped garlic, fresh cracked pepper, Lavendar chopped fresh(not the flower portion), salt or sea salt, combine all and rub all over your steak, you can let it sit over night if you so desire for more intense favor. If you add any citric(like OJ, lemons, vinegar to the marinade note that it will start cooking the steak, if you do this you want to cook the steak within an hour or two.

Make a great topping for your steak-Unsalted butter brought to room temp, add rosemary, garlic, salt, or any fresh herbs like cilantro, mix well and chill well. When your steaks are done, cut a slice and put on steak for that extra goodness

OK Bunnykins... help me out if you would then...

And remember, I ARE DUM so use small words and type slowly!

I don't know diddly about cooking.

How the heck do I make a decent steak on my stove? It's a gas stove - someone told me that makes a difference as far as my oven options go.

I've tried googling for help but there are so many conflicting ideas out there it makes my brain hurt.

sad sad sad

You take a frying pan/sautee pan thats oven proof
Heat the pan on the stove to a medium high heat
Season your room temp steak
Add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil or veg oil in the hot skillet
Sear the steak on one side for about 2 minutes
Turn steak over and place pan in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes
Remove Steak from pan and allow to sit for 5 to 10 minutes to allow juices to re-distrubute
This is based on a 1 1/2" cut of meat, hopefully you being using Filet, or Strip, Porterhouse
Perfect steak everytime
Any questions, please feel free to ask
