Military Question. . .

This is going to sound silly and probably have a couple people up in a roar but i am HONESTLY curious. I live next to a Military Base and when I talk to someone from the base, 90% of them act as if the Military is the BEST thing in the world to them. When I ask about their family or children they act like they are nothing special but the army is "all that" and more. Why is it a lot of Military people (at least where I am at) Take more pride in their service record then on the birth of their children or their family in general? I do not know exactly. but i was in something like the Army for five years, and i think that sometimes the isolation and the rigorous training have an effect on the personality. and the Army becomes to be all. |

I have noticed that a lot of men and women have user names, calling themselves hot, sexy, cute, etc. Now do you think that these people are full of themselves? Or do you think they just have high self esteem? I am not pointing out anyone inparticular, just an observation. But I have noticed that the ones with these names, are not usually all they are cracked up to be. Not always the case, but. Is it just me? 
I second that. they believe in themselves too much.
