i think there is a LOT of "looking the other way" on this subject.

i think it was objections raised by the UAW,

about the terms of their workers' wage cut, which doomed it.

i thought that jackson had not actually been linked to any wrongdoings in this.

well, you better be glad that women have made the choices to have children (when, indeed, the conception has been by choice)......so the earth has been populated since time began. bigsmile

oh, and speaking of that.......do you ever say "thanks" to your mother?

there's a big difference between a social drinker and one who drinks himself into passing out....especially if he's the president of the united states and commander in chief.

i think the difference is in the time and energy many women need to devote to being primary caregivers of their children.

the onus of keeping up a house, shopping, cooking, cleaning and still trying to please and "take care of" a male partner also adds significantly to the demands on a woman's time nd energy.

president-elect obama reiterated AGAIN today his timeframe for 16 months and OUT.....of iraq.

the iraqi government supports this also.

here's hoping.....

i get lots of offers from various online sites, but do lots of screening through initial emails, chats and eventually phone calls.

then comes the brief coffee date meeting in daylight hours at a public place. after that, a romantic dinner date several days to a week later, if things clicked initially in person.

but, i accept far fewer offers than i receive, so these actual meetings are fewer any more.

one bad thing i've noticed (in my experience) is that men's interest in dating seems to wane during the spring, summer and fall months----just when i want to use the many opportunities for outdoor activities and events to help support the getting to know each other in a slow, easy way in a non-pressured setting.

i think lots of them get busier with work, travel plans, vacations and sports or fishing/boating/hunting.

then comes winter, and they want to settle in with a cozy , stay-at-home dating thing for the cold months.

to me, it is harder to get a dynamic, fun relationship going that way, or it tends to settle into just one aspect of "what to do on a date" with that person, if you know what i mean.

this disbalance in seasons of dating just doesn't work for me, lol!

he was released this morning, and appeared strong and fit as he was seen walking from the hospital.

sources reported there was no stroke or cardiac-related issue at fault.

i'm sure they checked his blood sugar in the ER. hmmmmmm, wonder if it was low, low, low?

the GOP needs to reach out beyond its current preponderance of aging, white, rural, christian right and small town members.

totally unprofessional and irresponsible behavior from that teacher.

her principal should be talking to her.

i also voted mccain but will support obama.

our country needs to unify to move forward.

glad to see obama looking and acting like a president and a leader in his first press conference thursday.

i thought his "nancy reagan-seance" crack was a big lapse in judgement, though.

this economy is in trouble.

automakers' problems are another area which we haven't fully seen disclosed yet.

add their issues to the credit crunch, inflation, the bailout, retailers' woes and jobless numbers on the rise, and you can see that this isn't going away soon.

he was a quality journalist, and funny, too.

msnbc put his 18 year old son, luke, in their on air coverage of the conventions and a few other campaign coverage live shows.

they will both retain prominent positions as senior advisors/senior statespersons in american politics.

with obama likely to be looking at 8 years, i don't see mrs. clinton making another presidential run, as she will be almost 70 in 2016.
