 I got divorced filing on line paperwork for $295 in MA. I only had to wait for court time=90 days filing plus 90 days to take effect. My wife claims she started the divorce & yet no papers, I wonder If I can just go to the court myself & file even though she has a lawywer, this as well in Mass... but you can file.. and it will most likely get done faster if you do as she doesnt seem to have any urgency in doing so. I'm going to look into it, I don't understand why she got a lawyer, we don't have children nor do we own property & she makes double if not more than I make for income.. She wants your soul!! |

See the thing is, he has been asking me to come back the whole time. I am not even sure he would file for one anyway. His answer when I said he could file was that I was the one who didnt want him and wanted out, so I would have to do it. I am going to try to contact the courts tomorrow to find out. If there is a miracle and we have been divorced since January, then you will all know cuz I will be hosting a big huge mingle party!

In Oregon and Washington the law states that either parties can file for divorce, the other does not have to be present or served if they cannot be found. There is a 30/60 day waiting period and it is publicly posted as such and then the judge signs the decree and you are divorced. It costs $385.00 to do yourself. Just random info of no use to anyone unless you live in those states....... |

That is exactly why I asked her had she saw the paperwork for herself or was just taking his word for it. She is as warped as I was with this guy! Trust me, had I been able to file I would have day 1 after putting him on the road. Life has a funny way of doing things to us.

I've been seperated for almost 4 yrs now and my "husband's" gf just emailed me asking me if I had gotten the divorce (yet again). She said that he had signed up for SSI and he received a paper from them stating we had been divorced since January. Since neither he nor I have filed then how could that be?? I asked if she was taking his word for it or had she personally seen the paperwork and she stated she saw it. Anyone with any ideas??

HAH...The biggest obstacle they would have to overcome to catch my eye??? I would BE the obstacle. I am a bit gunshy....so I don't trust easily. If she is patient, really patient, she will find all the love that she deserves. If she isn't, then she'll miss out. Sounds like your me only the male version..
I agree. Most guys can't take my "out of the gate personality" and get scared off and think I'm a b!itch. LOL....well I guess I can be sometimes. Being so gunshy, maybe I'm trying to?
