What are talking about it is my thread, has been all along. I had fun with it. I would really like to know though how long ago it was when striking a child in love became the norm for parenting? Sense time began.

When did it become good parenting to strike a child and tell them it is because you love them? Just wondering? When did it become ok for a CHILD to strike an ADULT?

There is no excuse to perpetrate violence against a child. If a person uses it as a form of discipline it is because they do not know any better. And there is better. There is just no excuse for it. OK, now I got it Silly me. It's OK for a CHILD to ABUSE an ADULT. And the ADULT can't do anything about it. And you wonder why so many kids are out of control.

Spanking is not beating.......in my day there wasn't any of this pansy "Imma make a scene so you get into trouble on the national news." Society caters to these brats, period. That's my opinion. I agree. I work for a very big school district and I see these brats catered to almost every day. They are allowed to disrupt the education of the students and the admin/teachers can't do anything about it. They are told "that's the way they are". I for one am sick of the kids running the schools. The staff of the schools hands are tied. The staff no longer have ANY authority in the classrooms. To me it's going the wrong way. I do agree that the teacher NEVER should have touched the brats ***, but the teachers should have authority in THEIR classrooms(especialy to defend theirselves).
