Are you an EMD only or all? I do all...police, fire, and medical..I prefer dispatching more than handling the actual calls but i guess we cant get everything we want eh...

Well- your bosses might not appreciate you or know what they have- but we appreciate you- Ya'll are the first line of defense. Ive been in the Medical Field for 30 years- you guys have the most stressful job- but if you werent around giving advice and keeping callers calm- think of the bedlam that would be there for the EMT/Paramedics or police!! I think you guys rock! and I thank you for being there!

LoL I'm going to have to say i've never gotten a call like that. I have received one asking me if there was some sort of police entitiy that is the equivalent to Robocop though. That was pretty interesting to say the least.

You ever felt unappreciated at work?
I feel that way all the time. I am a 911 dispatcher and I feel like a lot of dispatchers are uinappreciated. We are behind the scenes but we still have a very large part in emergency management. The job is super stressful and the hours can really suck.....I'm feeling...blah. -sigh |

OFFICE PRANK: Last prank i had pulled on me a coworker put a pile of stuff in front of my car before shift change and there was a car parked behind me so i couldn't leave....that was pretty awesome considering in the midst of all this crap there was an old rusty bicycle and street sign...i have no clue how he did it but it was pretty funny. |
