C'GRATS and BIGUPS for making it!
and plain old thanks for telling the tale. Quitting cigarettes is sometimes harder than other addictions. You completely deserved that cruise and the better health for meeting and beating the challenge. If I had a hat it'd be off to you! |

I would go to start-------->run--------> then type in : msconfig then hit enter. A box will pop up, click on the tab all the way to the right(startup) click on the button that says disable all. This will turn off all the programs that start when your machine starts. Dont worrie you don't need any of them. This will not delete anything. Most likely you have a program that is running at startup that is causing your issues. You will need to restart you machine for the changes to take effect. Once you restart I would download and run ad-aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy(both are free). This may make your machine usable again, but most likely will still have the infection. You may need a professional to fix it. Trust me it will be worth it, instead of you trying to fix it and spending countless hours on it. I have been doing this stuff for 10 years. Anyone reading this post if you do the same thing about this will make your machine run faster if you are experiencing a sluggish machine. **Dont play around with any other tabs in msconfig!!! Trust me. PS. Say away from the porn and you may avoid this in the future! Good advice... with a caveat; Before selecting disable all in the Startup tab, peruse what's there. Your wireless card or other legitimae and/or necessary apps may be set to startup there. Reselect them before clicking ok. Also you may want to go the Services tab. Check 'Hide all Microsoft Services', then click 'disable all'. Some harmfull svcs may be running as service. If this works, your next step will be to go back and, after doing a google here and ther, reselect, one-by-one, the items that were deselected. A reboot between each will isolate the trouble maker. Going forward, a good suite of well configured Firewall, Antivirus, Anti-spyware, (etc)app(s) will be a compliment to carefull browsing. |

I can only tell you what happened to me one day. I stopped at a bank and cashed my paycheck. I stood off to the side and counted the money. I counted it 3 times and all 3 times I was 100.00 over. I walked back to the teller and handed her the money and told her. She counted the money and agreed she had gave me 100 to much. She began crying and saying she had a lot of personal things going on and thanked me over and over. I left there and went to a restaurant to eat. When I finished I left the money for my meal and the waitresses tip on the table. As I was getting in my car I hear the waitress yelling at me to stop. She runs over to me and hands me my wallet. It was on the seat in the booth I had been sitting at. Not one dime was missing even though it was a lot of money (remember I had just cashed my check). I handed her 20 bucks which she refused at first but I insisted. Anyeway if I hadn't given that bank teller back her 100 dollars I am very sure I would have never seen my wallet again either. Amen MBD, AMEN! I believe in this karmic stuff. Ever notice how the people who are a-holes ALWAYS end up in misery - even when they have physical comforts, money, et al? Agreed! |

Whatever happens after making a choice isn't relly relevant. The choice we make is what continues to determine who we are.
Place a non-negotiable price on your personal conscience. |

what happens in the very near future when there becomes so many interracial relation ships that noone is able to tell if the are black, white, Asian, Hispanic, then what will we base our hatred on.............you are only 25% black you can't hangout with me because i'm 75%............really when are we all going to be able to live as one and really be able to accomplish something great The need in humans to salve their own deficiencies by oppressing others is nowhere more evident than the obvious distinction of color. Racial blending might in some distant future, bring about a race of man, but we'd find somthing else to polarize around. We are here witnessing history as, yes, we move a step closer to recognizing an individuals worth. We have watched a woman get get closer than any other before her to the seat of power - based on merit. We continue to watch as a mans capabilities propel him even closer. We may one day see and respond to human beings when we look at one another but that day is not here yet. Yes, being realistic . . .there are a large number of white and Af-Ams who have and will continue to vote race. PC responses notwithstanding. |

Get in the car first thing in the am, point it in a new direction. After 30 minutes, get off the highway and stop at the first interesting looking place you see. enjoy, repeat.

What happended to the good men ages 35-55 huh? Well, part of the men that age will be completely jaded by now, either through lack of luck (like me) or because some other woman ruined him for the rest of you (i.e. divorce). That's just part of them though. You see, a truly honest to god good man is easy to find, you probably already know one, but just can't see him. He's that guy that's attentive to you, helps you out when you need it, sometimes shows up with pizza and beer just to watch movies with you. Oh, you probably tell the gals "he's just a friend," but I bet if you asked, he's dying to go out with you. Now a woman's first response is usually "I don't feel that way about him." But in fact, most ladies just have never thought of having those feelings for that type of guy, and a friendship is a great place to start a relationship. So, that's where you find a few more of the "good" ones. Another place to find them, church. I'm not saying become a religious zealot by any means. But some people need the inner peace derived from sitting in a large room with 200 strangers. Meditation helps no matter where you do it, but some need that. These good men, probably aren't even on the internet dating sights. Might not have the self confidence to do it. Just remember, most truly good men have had some person in the past take complete advantage of there soft hearts, and then dump the like a bad habit when something that only appeared better came into view. These men will be cautious, emotionally conservative and rather quiet. They know they can be easily hurt and are less likely to put themselves into situations where it can happen again. If you feel you're having to wait for a guy to come around, odds are, he's a good one. Be patient, and a little agressive, you'll bag him. Egselint! |
