My baby brother is gay and my Daddy is a very religous man. My Dad spoke with the Pastor and the church and was silent for days, when my brother first made the annoucement. After several days of tension my Dad finally said, I am not throwing the baby out with the bath water. That's my son. Good or bad, that's my boy.
