I've watched a movies and anime that was dubbed with the subtitles going at the same time.

I've found that the dubbing changes the language too much to match the culture it was dubbed into.

While the subtitles are more accurate to the intent for the culture the movie or anime was created for.

In the end, I would MUCH prefer the subtitles. The great thing about watching movies created for other cultures is to get a peek into the mindset of other people, to get a feel for how they view things.

And a very good way to know how good a movie was is if you read it but remember the movie as if you heard it.

I would love to program the Nightside. I really want to explore that place.

I would love to put myself into Jane Austin's worlds. See how things would turn out.

There are some fantasies I'm not about to share publicly.

Yes, there are too many options.

I would love my own holodeck.

I did preheat the oven. I know baking is my only area of cooking I have issues with. So I was meticulous in following the directions.

Maybe the directions were wrong?????

I have this WONDERFUL Mulled Cider Honey Spread, and nothing to put it on. Well, I did have one bad scone with the honey. I can't just keep eating it off a knife.

I can cook like a dream. But I cannot bake. I'm a baking failure. I made scones. From a mix. Only one ingredient to add. Water. They still failed to cook up properly.

If the time that one had spent making friends on this sight brings one person into your heart. Would you want to call that person on the phone and start a true friendship.

Or would you want that person to call you on the phone ???what

I am not a phone person. I hate talking on the phone. I would rather IM or talk face to face. I don't talk to ANY of my friends on the phone if I can avoid it. IM's, emails, getting together someplace. I don't even like Texting.

Last night, I could not find a good parking spot. I found one that I prefer not to use. But since I normally am up and gone to work before that place opens up there would be no problem. I never anticipated that I would sleep through TWO alarms. I woke up at 9:00 and my car had been towed. It cost twice as much as I anticipated it would cost.

It was a VERY expensive sleeping in. I set my day off on a terrible course.

Anyone else having a Monday from Hell?

I'm from a town in North Idaho near another town where a lot of celebs turn up. And where a few live. It's true, you can walk past celebs and not even realize it. And some others you can't miss. Travolta's sister lives there. Travolta can be a bit obvious even when dressed down, so to speak. I shopped at some of the same stores as Anna Duke, but never even noticed her. She had a short lived t.v. show in the church I grew up going to.

Who mentioned Irish? My mom's mother's side is Scottish. Me and a couple friends that like to drink scotch were talking and realized we all had a Scottish line in our families. We were the only ones that liked scotch in the group. We decided you have to have some Scottish in you to like scotch.

Love that corset and the gloves. It needs an elegant skirt and either lace up boots or some very streamlined buckle boots. And more accessories that match the necklace. Hm, actually, zippered boots would go great with the gloves.

I'll be wearing a kilt of my family tartan and my claymore with it.

Kilts are fantastic. Kilts almost always work.

I have a parking ticket I need to pay. One ticket. I can't find the blasted thing. The ticket itself is just an envelope with the fees on it. You tuck in the check and send the ticket directly to the school district. I know it is someplace in the apartment, I just can't find it.

In skirts or pants. In a skirt, it could be to make sure it is laying properly. Especially if it doesn't feel right after standing up from a seat or table or leaving the ladies room.

I had a boneless center cut pork chop seasoned with pepper, mustard, and sage.

And as a side, a serving of spaghetti noodles cooked with onion and garlic and saffron and cayenne pepper and a little butter.

Sounds like that was a fun day!

I'm trying to get back down to where I can fit into my oh so Victorian Goth outfit.

I'm wanting to design a goth/steampunk outfit based on a particular Victorian walking outfit.
