What can you say
out there in the fog in want of the old fire you burnt your last log. The memories are hot the pain you remember beneath all the ashes the last glowing ember Don't bother to fan it there's no fuel to burn let it go out save the ash for the urn Turn your attention to the wood that needs chopping do something worthwhile like sweeping and mopping Sweep out the soot and mop up your tears clean out the attic let go of your fears Put on the blues then something upbeat get on your warm clothes walk out to the street Follow it down to the steaming creek bed the mineral water is something it's said Melts away saddness and heats up your head without all the smoke without all the dread. Don't need a fire the water is good cleans away everything and better than wood. The WORD is the water still living and true all that you need and all that you do Lie back in the water you're warm and your'e higher be free and be healed and forever on fire. |

I have a tire
round my wiast it's a waste of skin I grab a hold and shake it around this waist of skin I'm in I have considered lipo the doc would lop it off He said that it would hurt for a while when I turn or cough I know that there are better ways to lose all of this tub of flab to diet and to exercise but I pig out in the cab Many a man has had a wife whose words with anger met we've all had days where in a craze said things which we regret I would say to every woman and to her irritating man the waste of skin we carry would be best off in the can. Get a waist, Drink more beer. |

AMEN Sister Chica!! You are precious and well worth the wait, Dang it.
You know who you are and don't let anyone talk you into giving yourself up. I suspect it a man's inborn 'God given' obligation to try, and yours to remain steadfast until they either lose interest and move on, or....make a decision. Love is freedom, baby, but it ain't free. |

I call that one "ADVERSITY"
I heard a counselor today who said that she was brushing her teeth when this thought came to her. For ADVERSITY....add verse....sit(down and have some)tea. Speak the word of God over your problem, and wait for the answer. Over a cup of tea or your favorite beverage. Gee |

I love it....this poet is so prolific. like a blog, a diary, very
therapeutic....The actual poem reminds me of a jewish mother in the makin, heapin on the guilt. (WHHHHHHHHY WONT YOU LOOOOOOOVE ME????? HOWWWWW COULD YOU DOOOOOOO THIS TO MEEEEEEE? AFTER I AM GONE YOU WILL BE SOOOOOOOOO SORRY THAT YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY.) I wold say ot the girl in the poem: Dear Lord. Send her a girlfriend. Men can be like Yo Yos. Ya just can't expect them to sit in your hand and have a good time.....uh yeah. They need to have that back and forth thing and I am NOT talking sex. |

does it mean.....
easier to watch the beekeeper.... than to stick your unprotected hand in the beehive? or... easier to read the New York Times.... than to write the stinkin articles,to feel the heat of the deadline, to throw oneself upon the keyboad ticking away into daiwns early light and firing it off in the nick of time, ridulously prolific and enlightening as they are?...yawn. |

I am speaking within the context of a new relationship. When dealing
with men with whom you are in a committed relationship, hnesty is importnat. I am not saying she should not be truthful. There are also times in a committed relationship where letting it all out is not in the best interest of the relationship. Sometimes the situation or mood calls for feminine mystique; holding back, and allowing the man to persue without responding with sappiness.... In the case of a new relationship, men in general tend to need time to decide how they truly feel. Feelings wax and wane and if the woman comes on with her intense emotions, she is liable to scare a good guy off. He also may change his feelings about her in a heartbeat if she is won over without any effort. A man should have to earn her love and heart. That often requires holding back. That's all I am sayin....ya want the thing to come to a sloooooooow boil, not microwave....too easy!!!!! |

been 10 years now
I scratch my head he last saw the floor beneath his bed 10 years since and all I remember are the books he stowed there last december the mites never tire 24/7 eating up breadcrumbs without any leven He lays there snoring after his shower breathing in years of fine powdery flour Working it's way down to hide deep within the only thing worse is our personal sin add some liquid and soon we would have a mirey paste a butt filthy salve It's sitting there under a couple of cushions thrown on top to comfort the tush-ins. A wirey skeleton against the skin God only knows the condition it's in Never had actually gotten the nerve to examine the place the or the purpose I serve A maid in this house I certainly am not he'd would sooner be single, I'd sooner be shot. One day I did falter when my foot went through I pleaded and protest this wirey shrew the mattress that thanks to a pestering guest will soon meet the trashmen and have it's own rest. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust we shake out the linen but miss all the crust. |
