I love to hear Ron Perlman reading poetry. He's got the sexiest voice I've ever heard (besides James Earl Jones whose voice I loved when I was a young girl), he could read me the phone book and I would still love it. My favorite poetry reading CD is the one by Ron Perlman (using his Vincent voice), called Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope, which contains the music and some of the poetry (some of my favorites) used in the late 80's TV series Beauty and the Beast, starring Ron Perlman (as Vincent) and Linda Hamilton (as Catherine). Want any info, search on YouTube.

That's one of my favorite poems but it wasn't written by William Shakespeare but by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926), the poem is called 'Love Song'. It is one of the beautiful poems read by Ron Perlman (who's got one hell of a sexy voice) on the Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope soundtrack. You can listen to it here: http://boomp3.com/mp3/118qma52k64-07-a-single-night-love-song

I listed my other favorites here: http://mingle2.com/topic/show/308643

Which are your favorite poets?

Mine are: John Keats (Bright Star! would I were steadfast as thou art- / When I have fears that I may cease to be/ Ode to a Nightingale / A Thing of Beauty Is A Joy Forever), William Shakespeare (Sonnet 116/CXVI / my fav: Sonnet 29/XXIX), Pablo Neruda (Love Sonnet XVII / Love Sonnet LXXIX) and Elizabeth Barrett Browning (I Arise from Dreams of Thee / Sonnets from the Portuguese 43: How Do I Love Thee / Sonnets from the Portuguese XIII). I also like poetry by Robert Frost (Acquainted with the Night), Matthew Arnold (Longing), Lord Byron George Gordon (She Walks In Beauty), Rainer Maria Rilke (Love Song / You Darkness), Edward Estlin Cummings (I Carry Your Heart With Me), Percy Bysshe Shelley (Love's Philosophy), Leria Hawkins (All For You / Carry Me Softly / Afterglow), William Wordsworth, Eliza Acton (I Love Thee), Elizabeth Akers Allen (At Last), and a few others.

Thank you to all who welcomed me to this site. I'm usually not such a complainer and actually tend to be quite a positive person, but wanted to state from the beginning (on my blurb) what I wanted, like I said, to avoid getting contacted by so many men I have no desire to meet. I like MisterAnderson's advice so will edit my blurb to change the negatives to positives. :)

Not sure if this is the kind of thing for me, so might not stay here long. Just wanted to see how it is and if it was a good way to meet new (good or worthy) friends, and maybe one special man, but I'm really doubtful. Been here two days and re-worded my blurb, adding a lot more about myself and what I was looking in a man, to try to limit the number of undesirable men from contacting me. So far it hasn't worked. They either don't bother to read what I wrote or don't care. I don't care if the man is gorgeous, but if he's too young and types like he's a 4 year old, I don't want him contacting me, so I wish he would not waste both our time. whoa

I like Vincent Van Gogh and one of my favorite paintings of his is titled 'Starry Night'.

But one of my favorite painting, called 'Flaming June' was painted by Lord Frederic Leighton, produced in 1895. I really love it.

Another painting I like is 'Psyche's Dream' by Josephine Wall.

Painting by Evelyn de Morgan titled 'Clytie'.

I'm not a photographer but do enjoy taking photographs, though mostly of cats. You can see some of them displayed in my deviantART gallery: http://soniafm1027.deviantart.com/gallery/

Here's a sample:

Hi Luna,

I've only used Sculpty once to make a sculpture of a kitty cat. It was fun working with the Sculpty and being able to create something that at least resembles a cat.
