How shall I hold my soul, that it may not be touching
yours? How shall I lift it then, above you to where other things are waiting? How gladly, will I lodge it...all forgot With some lost thing the dark is isolating On some remote, and silent spot that when your depths vibrate, is not itself vibrating~~ You and me, all the lights upon us though brings us together~~ like a fiddle bow drawing one voice from two strings, glides along~~ Across what instrument have we been spanned And what violinist holds us in his hand, oh, sweetest song! |

That's one of my favorite poems but it wasn't written by William Shakespeare but by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926), the poem is called 'Love Song'. It is one of the beautiful poems read by Ron Perlman (who's got one hell of a sexy voice) on the Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope soundtrack. You can listen to it here: http://boomp3.com/mp3/118qma52k64-07-a-single-night-love-song
I listed my other favorites here: http://mingle2.com/topic/show/308643 |

I love to hear Ron Perlman reading poetry. He's got the sexiest voice I've ever heard (besides James Earl Jones whose voice I loved when I was a young girl), he could read me the phone book and I would still love it. My favorite poetry reading CD is the one by Ron Perlman (using his Vincent voice), called Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope, which contains the music and some of the poetry (some of my favorites) used in the late 80's TV series Beauty and the Beast, starring Ron Perlman (as Vincent) and Linda Hamilton (as Catherine). Want any info, search on YouTube.
