Good morning and welcome. I'm fairly new myself and enjoy the people here. I don't post often, but when I need a pick me up all I have to do is come here!

When I was very young, I stayed with my abusive ex-husband from fear of him hurting me if I left and also because I was deathly afraid of being alone. I had never been alone before and it was unchartered territory and extremely frightening. I faced the fear and ended up being ok with the aloneness.

At my age now, I do sometimes fear being single the rest of my life. I have decided that no matter what happens, I'm going to make the best of the life I have....with or without someone. It hasn't been easy getting to this point because I'm my best when I have someone to share my life with.
