If you are comfortable with the age difference then go for it. Who cares if he's older than your stepfather. Just know this. Age is just a number. I dated someone older (11yrs). At first it was akward but, who cares. If you really like each other and think it can work go for it. Go with your heart.

Why is it so hard to learn that when a person is hard of hearing that they walk away. I mean we be talking and she says nice things about me or how wonderful I am and then boom I Never hear from her again or she stops emailing me. I am no different.

Well, I can tell you this. I grew up in the military. It can get rough but, to be honest it is a great experience and it will be for you and your kids. The military is very social so, you must be too.
