Just when it happens...

I have friends that said that they loved each other after 5 dates were marries 3 months later and just had the 10 year anniversary. And friends that have dated the same person for a year and have never said it...

So I would say when it happens, different for all.

Because of myearly life I never really had a full fledge relationship, mostly friends with benefits until I met my ex. So this is more of how I found out I was divorced…haha

I got opportunity to go do research for my PhD, 18 months in Antarctica and the Arctic. She agreed that I could do the research, IF we moved to where here folks lived while I was gone. I found that to be a reasonable request and agreed. Anyway, long story short came home to her living in another state with her ex-boyfriend; all the accounts cleaned out, all my assets liquidated, and divorced because I had “abandoned” her….oh well.


Not that this has left me jaded or anything, after all it was just stuff that I lost and that can be replaced. I have had a couple of good relationship since, but nothing that has had marriage written on it...dang it.

I know of at least 30 couples who have met and married from meeting online, a 100 people that have at least dated someone that they met online. This is part of the reason that I have decided to give it a shot.

I don’t know, I travel so much for work it seams that I would rather stay here and fly someone in occasionally…
