yup ,
I had lots of "spare parts" systems ... They all ran great ... Linux gets the job done and you can build it to your needs. I am not in the tinkering mode any more when it comes to OS'S... I need guaranteed performance and fast recovery options. |

Ok , ok ...
Yes , Linux works But Windows 7 is polished ... I think if you have duel or quad care CPU and at least 6-8 GB's RAM Windows 7 is the way to go.. info: Even if Linux or Windows excels in a given category, don't take that as a sign to drop everything and switch. Your real-world usage should determine what OS to use, not abstractions. Where The Operating Systems Stand Today As of this writing, Windows 7 is far closer to completion than most people were expecting to give Microsoft credit for. The original public beta was strikingly polished; at least one reviewer was of the opinion that 7 could be released as-is and it would still outdo Vista across the board. Obviously that wasn't going to happen, but both the public beta and public release candidate edition of 7 have been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times -- a good indicator of future success. Linux, on the other hand, could be evaluated by multiple milestones. There's the kernel itself, the heart of each Linux distribution; there's the state of each distribution -- Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat / Fedora, SUSE, etc.; and there's the incremental evolution of all the associated projects used by each distribution -- KDE, GNOME, GTK, Wine, and so on. Since the distribution itself is the most basic "unit of consumption" for Linux, it makes sense to talk about the state of the distributions first. |

OK ,
I feel as I need to chime in again here . I do not want to sound like a bible thumping idiot but there are lots of very good reasons outlined in the bible why it is not a good idea to have sex before marriage. Not to mention (non biblical) rules of common- sense and self-dignity. Yes , even today people save themselves for marriage. Even in todays world Marriage is no guarantee that things will work out. Any marriage or relationship that is not based on the Word of God is doomed from the start. To have sex before marriage is like stealing something sacred from somebody. God wants to protect our hearts , not promote broken family's and broken hearts. Look around at all the teenage pregnancies , abortions , and suicide because of uneducated fly by night relationships. And where do the kids learn this behavior ? From you the parent . The parent who is broken hearted , alone, or in a dysfunctional relationship. But do not take all the blame , it seem society as a whole has lost it's moral values .. (so since everybody else is doing it , it must be ok ) No , just the opposite . This value system that society has adopted is destroying the human soul , one by one ... This is very serious stuff , I suggest you do some very serious soul searching before it's too late . |

I get them sometimes but not always ...
I believe that your browser security settings rule over what is allowed rather than what OS you may be running. Also , some 3rd party virus programs may or may not affect web sites. I'm not sure what role windows defender of firewall has on web site blocking . Usually Microsoft software that comes with your computer is worthless and conflicts with other programs. |
