Things were dull and boring,
Seemed like a normal day, Then something happened, Things became colorful instead of grey, Like a forgotten memory, A ghost from the past, Someone made an appearance, But will this last, The heart wants what it wants, But is it worth the pain, Same attitude, arrogance and stubbornness, No, I can't handle it again, Made up my mind though, The choice is tough, Not taking a chance, Not going to sway, Its better to ignore him, And go my separate way.. |

I feel blank,
Which lines to write, Can't think clearly, Been having sleepless nights.. I wonder if you are also going, Through the same, Thinking about my face, Saying my name.. Maybe its my once sided crush, Maybe I am thinking too much, Coz if you are feeling the same, Why you not getting in touch? You not giving up your ego, I am not giving up my respect, We are both suffering, Causing more stress.. Wish we could talk, Wish we could compromise, Coz its not true, That love is unconditional, Maybe like everything else, Love also comes with a price.. |

Don’t go Jasmine, I’d miss your lovely poetry . Then again that’s your decision . Thank you that's really sweet . I will be posting poems till when Iam here. I think it's a good decision. Taking a break. In my experience, my love was patient with me, okay, right, she was avoiding me. Then I read an article on 'lessons repeating' till one learns to see them as a pattern. The article was written by her, so I read with deeper interests. In there was also a reference to a book by a Dr. C.C. Scott & her book 'Rules of the Game. Patterns & awakening out of it. Then I wrote to her; stuff containing the same old mush, mush. "How remarkable her article was, how cute she was." No reply. Agonized over the silence. Woke up next day morning with a sense of liberation. Ha, ha. With the sense of having caught myself red handed. Why all this need for her response, for her adulation confirming how brilliant I was. Adulation? Yeah, a feedback for my ego. Ego, ha, ha. ho So it was not love at all. Desire, yes. A crushing desire, failing which an agonizing loneliness. Near breaking point; and still the same criminal instincts, sending mail, SMS; what not; and here I am well past middle age. Wow! That's when I realized that the best thing my ex-love did was patience. No fights, no arguments. Just silence. I may have lost her; but I regained my 'self'. I know 'love' is subjective, and there's a thread where members describe how they view it. It is also diversified. There's a lion here who adores his 45 as a token of love for his girl of the day. So my experience may not apply to your specific case --- Still there's something in that pattern article that helped me. I lost 8 months, not 2 years. :) In my case, I think its better to get to know a person than falling for someone at first sight :-) Also in my case, it is clear if two people are good looking, have same level of education, have same level of job and pay, and both are attracted to each other YET if their personalities and mentalities are very different, it will not work. :-) |

How am I doing, I would smile and pretend, I am fine, Can't tell anyone, You are the only thing, Nowadays on my mind.. I had to say good bye ... after a couple of message guess... I was not his type ... no reply at all ... but would not leave ... stay and have fun in the forums ... Sorry to hear that and thanks for the advice  but for me, it will be difficult to stay here and to see him. Leaving for good will be the only way to get over him.
