Cassius Clay....better known as Muhammed Ali later on.
said exactly what was needed to say in the 60's.
"Why should I go to war against a people that did me NO wrong, for a country that treat me as a second rate citizen.
Effing WORD!!!

one cannot be too dependent on polls with politics

although polls were correct regarding Hilary as it related to INDIVIDUALS (popular vote) it did not end up correlating with how the electorate voted

so presidential approval or disapproval, to me, may be useful to determine popularity only, but popularity alone does not equate to the electoral votes ...

Had quite a big deal to do with a couple of counties in Ohio.
Democratic party head already warned the party passing a memo all the way uo the rangs, but nobody would listen because they all was SO sure that Hillary would win, so nobody bothered.
Already in the midterms...Known for nobody of minority voting, took it for granted that it wouldn't matter... head up their 'sses..Pardon my french.
And what happened.
I could write a book on this topic on Ohio alone.

Sports are not to be a place for political opinions or protests

The Olympics are a great testament to this, people from around the world show up to compete, not protest and certainly not to disrespect the games.

Some that see Colin as some kind of hero do not grasp the spirit of sports

really?

In 1980, 62 countries led by the United States of America boycotted the Moscow summer Olympics after the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan on Christmas 1979. The decision was not one made by American athletes. It was made by President Jimmy Carter and the decision was one of the least popular ones Carter ever made during his presidency.

Jackie Robinson was once enemy number one as well ... old bigoted traditions die out ... the next generation isnt as stiped in 'customs and traditions' ...

Exactly!!!
Word!!! harmony.

Thanks,

It was an adventure for sure. lol

It's in our nature to be dependent on each other in at least some capacity. Even off grid, you still depend on at least some people to some extent.

I don't think I need to go the extreme of being truly off grid, but I do want to have my own farm, livestock, make my own energy, etc. so that I'm less dependent on others for my survival.

I don't need a bunker or a crazy collection of guns and ammo, just a handful of cows, chickens, a few hogs, and a nice farm to sustain us all would be nice.

Not necessarily a simpler life, but the work would probably be more satisfying than working for some faceless corporation that is probably trying to kill you anyway.

we're on the same page... I like the way you think.
That's exactly what I mean.
You work for yourself... literally....effing literally, for survival.
And at the same time you're giving the government the finger, as in : "I can live without you and your corrupt BS."
"Stealing the taxpayers money as politicians or bankers or the effing 10 or 1 percent, so eff you."
Sorry my languague.. I know I could've expressed myself better, but.. Well, you know, I'm talking straight as a middleclass dude.
I could go exquisitely and become a more Shakepearian version, but I think it would be a bit out of date although most woman might think it to be more appealing and poetic..:)
As of now, I'm talking to a man.

I think you expressed yourself quite well. For me, it's not so much as giving the government the finger, as I don't think they care about me for it to matter, it's more about surviving, and not depending on the government. The government wants you to depend on them, the more you depend on them, the more they can control you.

that's exactly what I mean.
They would love us to beg them for protection, even though we get nothing.
Pay, and we steal. Get brainwashed by the media and we hyphnotize you
to whatever we want you to do...Worh for us...Work for us... Work for us...and you will, when hitting 56, become a millionaire.
(You'll die by 60, because of your hard work by I will become 98 and live life big time, so...Eff you....hahaha.)
The smarter tricks the less smarter..... It has always been like that and will continue.

It's actually a f"funny" comparison to the South African, Africaans white population.
They are about 9% of the population... 5% concider themselves Africaans.
For those that doesn't know. Africaans are of dutch origin and are white people that kept the indiginous people down for centuries.
NOW!
Now...... they feel treatened.
No effing *hit.
They've killed more indigenous people than they were living in the country 100 fold. Now they feel afraid. Settling in small communities.
Orania is one of them. AAAll white.
Apartheid all over.
Some will say, of course, the indigenous are killing us.
Wouldn't we all.
Isn't that what the europeans are saying in America?

(Was America originally white)

I bet by next year his car will look like a NASCAR with all the endorsements

So the guy slams our Law Enforcement, Disrespects our soldiers and is engaged to someone who is a strong supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and he gets endorsed by Nike? I guess next Nike will endorse Assad or mayb e even a Bin Laden...….

Huh?
I seriously say...HUH?
The gesture had NOTHING to do with disrespecting either America or the Anthem.
It was a very fine and respectful... (Clever if I might ad) demonstration of how "Afro-Americans" were treated by the police...That's it.
THAT'S IT!!!
Why make it into something else???.......... That it's NOT??

Nike is marketing to their customer of the next thirty years, not the last thirty years.

The new customer base will be highly educated and able to draw a distinction between protesting the American flag vs protesting institutionalized racial violence.

As long as Nike is paying the $$, NFL will go along. $$ rules the NFL, not principles

Nike are not stupid.
They sell way more abroad, worldwide.
And... Sorry the rest of the world... have a prob with
the "Honest" President.
With that in mind, I think that Nike already saw that the money they bring in from abroad by far exeeds the money from one single country.

In other words... It's logic.
How many people are we in the world? Around 7-8 billions.

How can 320-350 million think that they can be a buying superior factor compared to the whole world?
How can a 5% think that they're still a superior factor with a politic that draws them away from the rest of the world..?
America IS GREAT... But with the politics that only alienates them from the rest of the world will leave them alone like the bad boy not invited.
No civilization EVER lived forever...NONE! Thoughout history.
What makes people think that this time will be different?
Please America... We've loved the 2-3-4 generations with you as the
greatest country in the world.
Pleeeeese, don't jeopardize it.
You are amazing and fantastic people...We all effing love you.

Don't eff it up because of one man.
Pleeeease look at history... and I'm talking about WORLD history.

I've been homeless, if that counts as being off grid.

I would ask the managers of restaurants and stores for food. They'd give me something when possible. It was good food that would have went in the garbage anyway, but still edible and it got me through.

There was a park that we called shanty town, all the homeless people would go there and setup tents or whatever shelter they could. There were grills and fireplaces in the pavilions, we'd use to cook meals and stay warm.

Of course a lot of them were into things I didn't want to be a part of, so I didn't associate with too many, but we did the best we could with what we had and we looked out for each other.

Not necessarily off grid I guess, just surviving.

Wow... I seriously admire that. totage, you're a tough dude.
Total respect.
I've been homeless too.

I also haven't had sex with many different women.
I think my lifetime total is less than 15.

I don't really see sex as a competition and I don't see women as a conquest or a tally. For me, I need sex to mean something. I have sex with the women I care deeply for. To me, its the ultimate act of sharing and there is nothing more personal between to people.

I also know that there are few that think like I do.
I also know that even when there are those that share my beliefs, they may not have had those beliefs for very long.

I understand that I am not going to find a 57 year old virgin and I don't expect to find a woman that hasn't had a few partners in her lifetime.
But, at 57 I do expect her to be able to talk about and participate in interactions like an adult.

You also need to remember that there are vindictive, twisted people out there that will knowingly give you an STD. While that one person you are having sex with may not be one of those, you never know if she experienced one of those before she met you and just ashamed to tell you.

I totally agree...It's not a competition...far from.
All in all, sex is not something that can be filled up as eating food.
No matter how many you're having sex with, even after a pause of 10 years or having sex with throughout one's life will satisfy you without it being the right one or the perfect match.
(If you understand what I mean.)
For some people it is only a matter of being with as many as possible... The insecure ones.
And for the secure ones, that rests in themselves, it's not that big of an urgent craving or topic in their life.

I can't stop to think about a photoshopped photo when asked that question.
Is that a part of the topic.... if so... anything goes and are fake, or am I wrong.
We can all look 20-30 years younger with manipulating.
Not my preference as that would be a total....Blaaah.....:)
