Dear Minglers,

Peace is undeniably the highest value of our age. Many have tried to teach that peace becomes possible when we acknowledge the existence of other peoples, nations and cultures, that is, when we do not ostracize, but accept and embrace people who are different from us.

Terrorism and international strife occur when we fail to recognize differences and manifest hostility against other parties. We are in urgent need of dialog between civilizations for mutual understanding.

Further, let us emphasize that peace is established through a reciprocal relationship, and that restoring relationships is feasible only if we recognize that we exist for the sake of others.

Some have devoted their entire lives revealing the truth about God, humanity, history and the spiritual world. Sometimes it is a painstakingly philosophy that can offer peace by shedding light on the true meaning of peace, how a peaceful world can be achieved and how to promote a worldwide movement for peace. In the near future, I plan to write a cherished manual for the realization of world peace and furnish invaluable educational content for all people. I sincerely pray for peace to be upon its readers and for the spirit of peace to overflow into their families, nations and the world.

In conclusion, I bow my head in high esteem for those who preach it, practice it, and serve it in our communities, nations, and world.I have ceaselessly endeavored for the realization of world peace for most of my life. Join me in discussing how we can create more peace in our communities, realize peacekeepers working endeavors, understand philosophies given about peace, and enjoy quotes many have used to keep us contemplating.

If you also have suggestions on what should be added in my book about peace that can make a positive impact in people's lives than please share it with me (us).

May you find peace in your heart, mind, and soul.

Yours truly,

Smiless

Unfortunately, I believe a civil war will occur again one day in this country. The difference of opinions are stark between the political parties. I also believe that the people of this country will one day realize that the government isn't working as it should be and civil unrest will become popular again.

Of course many don't believe it to be true, but mark my words, you shall see it happening sooner than you think as I have observed many frustrated third based political parties expressing their feelings quiet profoundly.

I love Indian Philosophy. I hope you can provide me with more examples and share your culture with us.

Mahatma Ghandi has influenced my life in many ways while growing up. I hope his wisdom stays eternal and guides me in understanding more of what he has been teaching us or for those who are interested.

I will check out Vedenta and see what I can find on it here.

Thanks for your wisdom and encouragement Fromheart. drinker

The two party system doesn't work. You have the choice of two evils and there is seldom much difference between the two. Both are products of the two parties that have a vested interest in keeping everything the same. Any viable third party candidate gets slandered to death. Each party has only it's interests and not those of the American people.

I agree. I mentioned this on a different thread somewhere. drinker

Many of the Middle Eastern countries integrate their religion with their politics. For example they call it a Islamic Republic. They often justify the Koran as a reason to defend their rights concerning the subject that is discussed in their parliament.

So with my experience with Middle Easterns I have witnessed how important the lifestyle as the Koran teaches it is important to their daily lives as a must to do. They also use it often to justify their political views on the many subjects on hand.

I can only imagine the difficulty Muslims have with when living in a Western Society that is primarily Christian based. Let alone the holidays celeberated such as Christmas, Eastern, and so forth as of Christian believers living in countries that are predominately Muslim.

Now don't get me wrong Christians aren't any better. Many of the politicians use their faith to justify their reasons on making decisions for the country. I feel Bush used it often to justify the war on Iraq and I see that many followed his lead on it also.

In the end there are some who don't care for they don't follow any of it. I am one of them who feels religion should stay out of politics, but am completely aware how powerful and misleading religion can influence an entire nation to do something that is not so good for its people in the end.

So it can't be changed. Well there you go. This explains the future of American government. Information will continue to be construed, results will continue to stall, and actions will be determined by those that have the money to buy it.

I can imagine that many are dissappointed with this government. Everywhere I go, I see only people complaining about the decisions Congress makes.

It is too bad. This is all I can say.

Can this be changed to where the Constitution can be upheld again to have citizen statesmen or is it impossible to do or to late?

I've heard it said

that the difference is

Muslims who move to America become Americans (still devout Muslim but American)

and the Muslims who move to Germany and France etc don't become French or German. They remain Turkish and Iranian and whatever their native nationality was. they don't integrate and in America they (most) do

Yes very true. I have met many Muslims in my life. Iranians, Turkish, Iraqis, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordanian. All of them have very interesting cultures. Those in Germany don't want to become German. They are just there for they make a better income and have the ability to create businesses without imposing government conflicts.

I haven't met any Muslims in America to tell you the truth. I live in Miami and the majority of the people are Catholics down here. A huge Latin ethic resides here.

I think many Muslims tend to want to stay in this country for the rest of their lives as opposed to those in Germany and France that still want to have ties to their countries and perhaps even retire there with the wealth they have attained.

Of course this information isn't valid because each individual person is different, but from my European experience I experienced exactly on what you are saying.

I dated a Turkish lady a very long time ago and had the whole family attack me later. I was told that if I don't become Muslim then I cannot marry the lady. Marry! I wasn't even ready to move in yet!

To become a Muslim I had to go to Mecca and make a pilmigrage also. I wasn't ready for that and they sent my girlfriend back to Turkey and told me to never be seen again.

Well that certainly was a history lesson for me on that day. drinker

Germany has a large population of Turkish people who are opening up Mosques throughout the country. Many Germans are disturbed about it. It seems as long as the Turkish people obey the German laws then it shouldn't be a problem, or at least it seems that way.

The problem with the Muslim religion is that it is a part of life. A cultural move for most of them that doesn't fit the same perspective and idealogies of western lifestyle.

Because there are differences there will be conflicting ideas of how a country should be runned, what to watch, what to eat, what to practice, and how to live, etc. etc.

This difference of lifestyle through these religious belief systems causes stirs.

Tolerance fortunately is the key saver for most people living in such dynamic countries of various belief systems. Once tolerance is eliminated then conflicts occur, which includes racism, superstitions, hatred, and misunderstandings.

I hope for the sake of mankind people will try to practice and hone tolerance more then use violent terms to resolve problems. In many cases those problems just add up if you use harsh violent tactics.

I don't blame Bush. I blame Congress and their decisions they make. I think the two party reign should have ended a long time ago. Of course this is my opinion.

For me this is not new news. America has been funding the Taliban also if you do a research. Many will have open jaws after reading my last sentence, but look into it and you will see something is not right. They also had a special on this on 60 minutes as reporters looked at the real cause of this war. Alot of private companies (weapon contractors) are making big profits for their own needs caring less if it sacrifices American lives. The terrorist groups ensure weapon sales.

It is a big mess and all those involved should face justice including Americans that participated in ruining the peace amongst simple people.

Concerning Iran. I have nothing against Iran getting Nucleur capability to ensure their people to have electricity. Who are Americans to tell Iran what they should have? Iran isn't a country to mess with since it has Russia and China backing it up. If they are TRULY trying to get nucleur missile capability then we can then do something about it, yet Iran has complied with every law thrown on them. They are not trying to create missiles.

If America attacks Iran then they will just do the same mistake they did when they attacked Iraq.

Perhaps the United States government is just freezing assets from going to Iran to prevent the government of Iran to have the money. The US governments reason would be that they don't want Iran to have any funding incase it will go to terrorist activities.

If the courts can prove that this money is being actually funded for terrorist activities then there should be justice served. I don't support any terrorist activities from any country or person and punishment should occur. Afterall, we are talking about innocent lives being sacrificed. Common sense tells me that it is all wrong and should be stopped.

This requires closer investigation before we just start pointing fingers at anyone.

If this is true then justice has to be served. I hope those responsible for trying to hurt innocent lives will get punished or those planning to. drinker
