Never had friends/family that spoke of "voices" telling them to do whatever. Known many women that talk about having multiple conversations in their head at the same time though. It comes down to being able to turn off the internal dialogue. Some people need to develop this skill. And don't believe every thing you think.

Man as a species has been on this rock we refer to as Earth for a very short amount of time in relation to its age. We are a parasite with opposing thumbs. That is our only claim to mastery over all other animals here. We will one day pass from here. Unfortunately most of the animals will also. But some will survive and develop into the new rulers of this place. I take comfort in that thought.
