We understand that people get emotional. Our business isn't banning
people. We will give people a second chance if they show us they
deserve it by not doing additional things against the rules of the
community.

The only people that should be concerned about posting in the forums are
the people who don't know the difference between expressing your opinion
and attacking/insulting others.

Goes back to the "Golden Rule".. treat someone else like you would want
to be treated...

Not all bans are permanent. We don't have a suspension feature so we
use ban currently. We may unban people after a time if it was their
first offense (especially until we get the suspend feature built). That
is basically their warning.

However, if people try to create duplicate accounts or other things that
are against our terms of use, they're just digging a deeper hole for
themselves.

You do realize you can restrict WHO can contact you right?

If you don't want people over a certain age to be able to contact you,
just set it. Its Mail > (limit who can send you mail) .. that link is
near the bottom

It doesn't matter who you are, how many friends you have or how long you
have been here. If you break the rules we will have to take appropriate
action. We do this to maintain a certain level of conduct on the forums
and for EVERYONE"s enjoyment. We absolutely will not tolerate people
attacking each other. Imagine you are a new user to the site and all
you see in the forums is people attacking each other and being nasty.
That is not going to make you feel good about meeting people here. It
can literally destroy the site. We take it very seriously.

Believe me, the last thing we want to do is baby sit a bunch of adults.
We'd rather be working on stuff that makes it easier for you to meet
friends or that special someone. But unfortunately, it is necessary and
so we do it.

I live in San Francisco.. I love it! One main reason is because of so
many different "cultures".

Obviously the GLBT community is HUGE here. I love the "gay" vibe they
bring to the city... gay = fun & carefree

It's a great place to live because tolerance is necessary to be here...
but when you have tolerance you also have a lot of expression and
creativity since people feel comfortable.

People are just people... we should celebrate our differences, not be
afraid of them.

If a person accidentally sets the wrong gender that will happen. We
can't fix that as its set by the user. Most likely they will realize it

Ad clicking is just one way we know that accounts are real. Any kind of
ad. We don't choose what ads are shown, Google does most of that.
