I tend to avoid women with kids, it's just not for me.
waving pats, you avoid women who want anything other than a pure platonic and intellectual relationship:tongue:

Makes no effect on me...lol...I have gdau nearly your age. When I was a single dad, I found it difficult to find a waman to date who did not want to "mommy" my kids, the maternal instinct thing, I believe was kicking in. IMAO, men who have been around their own kids, now div or whatever, would be more likely to "daddy" them than one who had no kids of his own. I don't think a person who lets the fact that the other has kids bother him in the initial dating game is worth dating anyhow...lol. One thing to remember...you never md someone without dating them, so, you are in fact "looking" for a father for your kids and a companion for yourself.

So because of the experiences you've had with some women, you're assuming ALL women have the same preference? No matter what any others tell you?

not all, but the numbers are growing. and we all know that what we learn from experience teaches us more than what we learn from being told.

it's not like i'm depriving anybody by not approaching them.

. . .
I disagree with that..there are certainly some ladies out there that you are depriving, pitchfork

 Just pulled my new (used one week)charcoal sheets out of the washer and tossed them in the dryer. Now I have sheets that are PINK, or maybe it is one of them lavender/purple things.frustrated Not streaked, just plain pink. The pillow cases stayed charcoal. I even followed the washing instructions (shock)...warm water, gentle cycle, only soap no bleach. I bet my bed gonna look really macho with pink sheets and black pillowcaseslaugh

shocked "Yes honey, I like PINK sheets with charcoal pillowcases, I don't think it's weird. I think it is sooooo romantic"love

One thing a few years in the military instills in you is self discipline. Something a lot, not all but a lot, of younger people "working" in America today seem to lack.

I am not sure but isn't it illegal to not hire someone because of military service?
could be illegal, I have no Idea. But, would you want to "force" someone to hire you and quit a $135K job for a $140K job to go to work for them based on the results of a lawsuit?

Well how do you expect to meet people on here if you don't put a little effort forth to get to know them.

*POOF!* Magic...

Oh wow that was easy.. I guess I could have just hit the easy button too. laugh

How did you miss it?

I don't agree with the way the guy handled it, but you cannot expect everyone to hire someone based on their experience in the military. The guy was unprofessional, but as the owner, he has the right to choose the type of experience he wants his employees to have.

About your side note, you say you're not trying to bash democrats, but that's what it seems like you're doing. If you weren't trying to, why bring it up at all?
yup, the fact that my kid has a degree in civil engr with a 3.85 gpa and 7 yrs exp with another firm in Salt Lake City is not a consideration for hiring either....lol...has more exp than the owner has in actual design...lol

Wyo has a self defense clause in their laws...If someone is in your house and you feel threatened, deadly force is considered reasonable. Falls under self defense. Maybe that why there has not been a burglary in my are since I cannot remember when. Not unusual to someone in town packing a warmer on their hip. Every house has a closet full of guns and everyone knows how to use them, makes ppl a little cautious to bust in....lol...I think several states have similar laws.

I suppose socializing and talking with ppl from different places and backgrounds, learning their viewpoints has nothing to do with dating, perhaps. And the fact that they all live 975000 miles away is definitely a disadvantaage. I did not come here looking for love, but for friendship aqnd knowledge, both of which I have found.
Just a word of advice.....If you are actively looking for love and a relationship, you will never find either one that will endure. Those just happen over time, and have to be grown from a tiny seed and nurtered constantly to maintain them.

rant OK, here it is: My kid (35) applied for a job with a local engineering firm, filled out app, resume, etc. The owner is 33. Went in for his interview yesterday. First question the owner asked him was why he spent 6 years in the military, didn't he have anything better to do with his life other than waste it in the Navy? The kid explained that he felt it was his responsibility to give back to the country for the benefits and advantages living in the USA gave him. The guy told him that he, the owner, did not owe this country ****, and he had no use for anyone who had served in the military and wasted those years of their life, and that the interview was over.explode I was proud of my kid...lol..he did not punch him in the mouth like I probably would have. I mean...WTF....Oh, and just a side note, the owner is head of the county democratic committee(not to bash democrats and start a political fight, just saying ....wtf)

Always shoot for body mass & to protect you & your's.

If that causes someone to die, that is their problem.

and make certain they are dead (the intruder) because they will certainly sue if they live. Then, there is also only one story for the police to investigate.

Where is this rig 'Atlantis' located?
I haven't read anything about it on the real news, got an email claiming that it was gonna blow in the gulf and collapse the gulf floor, causing a tidal wave that would wipe out florida and half the central US. Snoped it and nothing turned up. Typical email story.....lol
