Maybe because they see any kind of attention as a good thing.
Maybe because they lack the self-discipline to be tough on themselves, but it is needed.
Maybe because each little bit of acceptance that is earned becomes a measure of success, and thus becomes a sort of security.
Maybe because failure is not an option. Right, or wrong, the difficulties of this phase of the relationship can be outlived, overcome, and made better, with loving devotion.
Giving up (finally!!) is hard to do.
Being sure of oneself afterwards, is even harder.

I am so with you on this one. I run in to the same problem all the time. I am not saying that all men are the same but all the ones that I have encountered are looking for a woman who's a size 2 and looks like Pamela Anderson. Lets be fair not everyone is gifted like that. I get that we all have are standards but are they not a bit high? I have my standards and what i am looking for in a person and it used to be that it was all about the way a person looked but now as I have gotten older I find that it's more about the inner beauty. JMO

I won't give up as long as you don't. Your right good things do come to those who wait. We should both know it's on his time not ours right?

I usually look for the men that do smoke. But I guess now a day's there aren't too many of them out there.

They can be hot. That's one thing about a bug there are always spare parts available at salvage yards pretty cheap and you can fix them up to look real hot..

You are right. It is important to a certain degree. I would be a liar if I said that I didn't do it myself on ocassion. I have grown past that stage and at this point in my life I am trying to look at the good in people versus just what they look like on the outside. I realize that that is just my opinion though.

I am finding that out.
