its doesn't affect my opinion because I've dealt with it and I feel like sometimes you have to cut people out of your life that are negative

Broken home or not...it is the person themselves and not the family....Besides, if you don't like their family have all holidays at your place....

More families are broken homes than not anymore. No big deal really. Unless it totally screwed them up. In which case, they probably have other problems that influenced the being screwed up that have nothing to do with a broken home and aren't a good prospect anyway.

Easy? There are just more places you need to be all at once, and dinner has just been put away by the time you reach them each. *sigh* Easy! *harrumph*

Broken family means nothing to me when it comes to a partner. He is not his parents.

Broken homes are pretty run of the mill nowadays. Sad.
We all learn to cope with it.

I would bet 90% or better of this site either comes from a broken home, or participated in breaking a family of their own.

Well, I hope no one judges my sons because they are from a "broken home." That wasn't their fault!

I can say from personal experience that most of us in that situation are pretty good at managing holidays and schedules, finding balance, understanding compromise, and putting the needs and feelings of others first (our kids). Broken or not, those are pretty good traits in a partner. flowerforyou
