MANY THANKS TODD! You are very kind.

How did your gal react when you told her you were pulling your profiles?

I doubt ANYONE would 'forget' their profile is active. He has no photo up, but that really doesn't mean deactivation. I'm trying not to dwell on it, but for heaven's sake, he tells me he's crazy about me and treats me like gold, but can't hit the "hide my profile" button? I didn't cancel MY membership; I just hid it. Now what?

QUEEN BEE is right. After you've chatted with a potential date, then you can mention it. Guys always complain about this issue, so be up front. I personally am thin, but I was 30 pounds heavier once, and I still get mad if guys complain about a woman's weight. They can hide it better (unless we're talkin obese) and lose it easier. Weight is relative; I believe in PEOPLE, not pounds.

THANK YOU BAY AREA GAL!

I didn't feel the need to have the 'serious' talk... I figured, if we joined a dating site to meet someone nice, and we have, what is the point of leaving the profile active? We've gone on about 7-10 dates in 4 weeks (every Saturday night), talk on the phone and email a lot. I'm not looking for marriage or co-habitation. Just wondered if I should keep looking. It shouldn't be complicated.

....WHO I MET ON A DATING SITE IF HE WILL HIDE HIS PROFILE? IT'S BEEN 4 WEEKS...NOT TOO LONG, BUT I NEVER DREAMED I'D GO PAST 2 DATES. EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL.

Thanks in advance to all the pros out there (you all)

Thank you all, yes it helped. Guess I'm going to block the guy who
keeps emailing me with 2 word answers and a fake pic. It is so sad, and
so high school!

The other ones are people whose pics are of them about 1/4 mile away
from the camera. Good grief! :=P

Thanks, you guys rock!

Morena, I couldn't have said it better! I find it hard to respond nicely
to a guy who has a bunch of friends whose pictures are super sexed up, I
mean, it sends mixed signals...I really don't buy that some people who
say they're looking for a partner, or spouse really are.
What about pictures that are obviously taken from a magazine?

Hello everyone!

How do I respond to emails with obviously fake pictures (models or
celebrity) and pix taken far away or blurry? Also, what about people
who wear dark sunglasses? I can't get a feel for what they look like.

Your wisdom and insight is welcome, thanks so much.

Hi gang, here I am. I can't believe I'm here, but I am here. I really
like the forum, other sites didn't offer this. Great idea. I just
joined, my pic isn't my best, I'll change it soon. I got a few
responses, but their pictures are blurry....and yes, I am wearing my
reading glasses! Hello to all!
