Hello! Here's my thing... I'm not skinny. But I love myself. I'm dang cute! I am on weight watchers, though, and have lost over 25 pounds and counting. I am wondering... when I post a singles ad, do I state on there that I'm trying to lose weight, or does that turn guys off? I try to keep my picture updated, but I'm not sure if that's all I should do. Can someone help me out? Maybe I need a new tactic...

First, Congrats on the weight loss!! That's fantastic!
Second, I would leave it off the profile. It's not good to discuss body image when first talking with someone. Save it for a little later.

I think thats completely up to you. I dont think its a turn off I think it shows that you have goals and you arent afraid to go after what you want.

Hmm I agree with you all in one sense but I think,be true to who you are and what you want and not worrie about what anyone else thinks. If your happy with yourself like you say you are. Then keep being yourslef because being real and up front on who you are will help keep the players away.

Great to hear your losing weight. That is after all your choice and not after all any of us or any guys choice to make for you.

After all you made the first step to a healther you.

Don't rule in it by letting somebody or any one say anything different.

Best of luck to you.

And no it shouldn't matter how much you weight, you have to love your self first and be happy with you before you can love another.

Dang I made my self sound like Dr. Phil lol.

As a guy...it means nothing, lol. Every girl I know is weight conscious...a girl on a diet is like a dude with an Adam's apple:wink:

I think that if a guy is really interested in getting to know you, then it would not matter if you put in your profile or not. Most of the women I know (myself included!) have all tried or are trying to lose weight, so I guess that if you want people to know, go for it and if not, thats okay as well! :)

I would not mention my Weight Watchers with him until I felt comfortable with him because I am doing it for me...not him. happy happy happy However, if the subject of healthy eating or weight loss comes up....then I might mention it, definately "not in my ad".

Congrats on the weight loss....keep it up until you reach your goal.laugh happy laugh happy laugh happy flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou happy

Heck aren't we all trying to lose some kind of weight ?.

If not then maybe I'm in the wrong world here.

Because I am always looking for a healther way to eat even though I know when I am at work and need something to hold me over, I don't always eat the right foods and I admit it. But I get loads of fitness in though on my current job and all. Since I walk a lot and all and I tent to sweet a whole lot, but can't help it.

Or what you could do is find somebody with the same set mind is you have, which is you both are wanting to keep in good health and stay fit.

Just a thought.

Dontworryboutit! Just keep recent posted pics! My opinion I wouldnt mention diet, diet is a taboo word.. if anything mention all your positive qualities and if you want to add in about ur weight, put it in with a positive spin, so it reads more appropriatly to how you want them to understand..
EX: I value stability, integrity, and health etc... and part of health is eating right, and ______ which is real important to me.. (or wutever/however u word things) leave it simple and less informative.. I really feel most men would think ooooo boy a chick with the yo-yo diet/weight.
And truly u sound like you made a life change/committment in your eating habits.. make that work for ya..
your pretty btw...

good job kiddo, I just lost 45 pounds on WW and am getting ready to start again and lose another 30. I took some time off to see if I could maintain the weight loss and I have for 2 months, so now I'm going to do it again. You don't have to tell people, you are adorable and you look awesome so don't worry about it, but do keep us psted on how you are doing
