Out of Race Relationship?

I have no idea where you got the sterilization thing. As for being
naive...I have no idea. All I was saying was there are more issues involved than will my parents have a cow. |

Sadly not everyone does care for their children. They become
disenfranchised. They are left in foster care, are on their own at a young age and a vast majority of these children become lifelong offenders. Again, all I am saying is that we need to consider all the possibilities of ANY relationship. Certainly the same can happen to children in any relationship but I was attempting to follow the thread. There seems to be a abundance of feel good-ism going on here and the question posed should have been taken seriously. |

No doubt you are right.
I am only using my own experiences from my job. The reference to Bi-racial in the foster care system was meant in relation to children of either race versus children who are of mixed race. Kudos to your family. |

I wonder if anyone here realizes that I am not disagreeing with the
concept of interracial unions. I am just stating that there are many things to consider beside whether Mom and Dad are going to hate him/her. Personally I have had a long term relationship with someone of another race and religion. My issue is purely about societal and psychological implications regarding children of interracial unions. |

All of this is fine...love whom you choose. Bigotry be damned.
But people get out there and work with these kids as I do every day and tell me that there they do not suffer from identity crises. My point of view is neither racist, biblical or smothered with warm fuzzies as it appears most here are. My point of view is purely from a sociological aspect that it appears no one cares about. Check facts before you decide that I am living in some 70s dream world. These children are more likely to end in foster care and 30% less likely to be adopted. |

Of course it's an issue. There are all sorts of
implications...religious, societal. And what of the possible children born from this union? Bi-racial children often don't fit into either world. These are not racial issues more than common sense issues. There is more to consider in a situation like this than is he/she cute. |

Roger knows that the Hall of Fame makes the decision as to which "cap"
the inductee wears into the Hall. He won 192 games with the Red Sox...more than half his total wins. He is trying to put a Yankee cap in the Halls mind. Will he help the Yankees? Probably. Is he worth the money? Probably not. V |

Chris you have a knack for inciting people. Mass raised and I remember
them as the Boston Patriots. They do play as a team...just like Sox have the past few years. Anxious for the season but not ready to give up baseball season...by a bunch. |

Comparing size of Bonds and Maris...?
Roger Maris Height: 6'0 Weight: 197 Barry Lamar Bonds Height: 6'2" Weight: 230 Divide those 33 pounds over 2" and it does not compute. |

GO RED SOX

Several comments needed here.
1. Pennants are not won in May. 2. Correct Bawston pronunciation is Red Sawks. Eliminate the c. 3. Have you heard of Y2Kurse? Check it out. 4. The Red Sox have done well following George's lead. Spend, spend, spend. 5. I have the Red Sox logo tattooed on my shoulder, along with 10/27/04. There is room for more dates. 6. Cone the end of the season and my prediction is there will be one bench clearing fight, both will be in post season play, the win lost columns against each other will be nearly the same, and idiots will still be arguing like you all. |
