in michigan you cannot purchase a gun legally if you have a history of mental illness. the same applies to a criminal past. when i use the words past and history it doesn't mean a couple occassions it means one instance. unfortunately people do break the law to aquire guns but the there isn't a law that you can put in place for that. michigan has had stricter gun laws beofre and it doesn't make a difference so why take it out on law abiding citizens?

the thing is that for some reason our country can't stop criminals from getting weapons. i would never carry a gun personally but i wouldn't take away a citizens right to carry either.

not the moral issues but alot of the customs. like philosopher mentioned with the way a lot of them expect their women to dress. i know not all follow them so stringently but some do. if you go to royal oak and some other cities that have large muslim communities you can see it everyday.
