its not the people who are influencing me though, thats the point of the topic thats the misunderstanding its me see..there we go again You're influencing yourself, how, exactly? Are you trying to conform to some "ideal" of who you think you should be? Or are you trying to become the best "you" you can be? There's a difference, you know. conform to some "ideal" of who i think i should be, YES that is what i mean! ---- and...I know, in my heart...I will become the best "me" that I can be. That is not the issue. |

I want to be me, and I do not care what people think. I know I need to work on myself. But how can I do that when the world will not stop and wait for me. I cannot say, "Hey guys, hold on a minute while I go spend 3 months and work on my inner child." Oh and give me 2 weeks to work out at the gym so I can get them pecks I've always wanted.
I am just one of those people who hates having to stop "being who he wants to be" to "be who he wants to be" Does that make any sense? |

so..i get what you're saying, i think
the lesson is that...when ppl "dont let me be who i want to be" its not that they won't allow me to be who i want to be, its that in order to conform to their views that "person" i want to be just doesnt mesh with them.....so i do not allow myself to "be who i want to be around them" so kind of like suz said, it is me who is stopping it, not them... |

i usually have something witty to say to everything et. i am the verbose guy.
but, wow. that was good. and i will not say "i agree with you" bc that would only be insulting. however my views, are not much different. I just like to cover them up by generalizing because I dont have the courage to do what you just did |
