why post

Hey I made the site too!
|
|
|
|
Hey guys - all kidding aside, just an FYI that topics that are exclusive
to one gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. are not allowed. The whole idea of forums is that everyone can participate. You can post questions asking for men to respond, but you can't ask questions for ONLY men to respond. Basically, anyone can participate in any forum and topics that do not follow that philosophy will be deleted. Hope that helps clarify things. |
|
|
|
Morena - yes, you must also be respectful to other members in mail
messages as well. If you receive inappropriate messages from other users, please use the Report Abuse button and we will investigate. |
|

iam4u -
You may post what you'd like as long as it stays within the forum rules. For example, if you feel someone is accusing you of being "Y", and you simply state "I am X" on the forums and do not mention other users or provide enough information to identify other users, you'll be fine. If that doesn't help, you can always use the Report Abuse button or email Vanchau or I, and we will investigate. |

Hi folks,
Just a reminder that we do NOT allow posts which attack or denigrate another member, even if not named. Please see forum rule #2 for more details. All members must keep the drama off the forums. If you have an issue with another member, please use the report abuse button to let us know. Member's who violate rule #2 will be suspended or banned permanently. The JustSayHi forums are a fantastic way to meet new people and participate in lively, stimulating discussions on a huge variety of topics. They are not, however, a venue for airing your personal issues with other members. Please remember that at all times. Thanks for your cooperation. Mike |

#3 is definitely not permitted and could result in your posting
privileges being suspended. Making accusations about someone is against the forum rules. Remember, there's always two sides to every story. That having been said, this is a good post. On #2, how often would you say you get these kinds of sexually charged emails? Is it 10% of the time? or 90% of the time? Thanks Mike for starting this discussion. We're always open to ideas on how to improve the site. |

Fine - maybe that's from Yahoo or something telling you you have Yahoo
mail? It's definitely not from us, as we do not have an email notification like the one you're describing. |

Hi fine -
We don't have an email notification that pops up in the lower right hand corner, so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. Can you explain in a little more detail the problem that you're having? We'll be happy to help. Thanks, Mike |

Yes, I know you're upset that a friend was banned which is perfectly natural and absolutely understandable. Hopefully my post at least helps to explain why the banning occurred and eliminate any question at all of favoritism, etc. And I also hope BOTH sides, both Spay fans AND Spay haters, can see the other sides perspective. Some people have lost a friend here which is never fun. I just hope those fans can also understand why we acted. Thanks, Mike |

Folks -
Just to be very clear on this - no one did anything to Spay. For example, just because someone gets an abuse report doesn't mean they are automatically banned or suspended. We get tons of abuse reports every day, but VERY few people are suspended or banned. I can count on one hand the number of permanent bans we've given. Every report is investigated thoroughly so we can determine what really happened and who's at fault. No abuse report is taken at its word - we always check to make sure the information contained within them is accurate first. Our actions are based on the facts and our rules for the site, nothing more. We were not influenced by the people who like Spay, or the people who don't. This is how we make decisions for all users, not just Spay. We make decisions based on our own judgment. So you can't blame the people who don't like Spay for his being banned. And for those of you who think Spay was allowed on the site for too long as it is, you can't blame Spay fans for that either. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at Vanchau and I. In Spay's instance, he was given every opportunity to stay on the site. We gave him multiple warnings before suspending him, and even gave him warnings during his suspension. If he had behaved himself, he could have stayed. But for some reason, he couldn't. He was warned prior to his banning that this was his last chance, but he still attacked another user unprovoked, even while he was suspended. And that was the last straw. I just want to make sure everyone understands how we try to enforce the rules on the site. We absolutely do not take banning lightly. Frankly, we hate doing it. But we will do it if we have to. Users who continually attack or abuse other users will be banned, regardless of how long they've been on the site or how many friends they have. That is not the kind of atmosphere we will permit. Thanks for listening. |

I've made this a sticky thread. Thanks to all who took the initiative
to make this happen! |

As of this morning, Spay has been banned permanently from the site.
Spay attacked other users repeatedly on the site. We warned him multiple times and gave him several chances to behave, but he did it again via a mail message yesterday, even while on suspension. We know some of you liked Spay, but we will not permit users to repeatedly attack other users on the site. Users who continue to attack other users or otherwise cause problems on the site will be banned, regardless of how long they've been a member. |

Multiple accounts are not allowed. Using multiple accounts is a
bannable offense, so if you suspect someone of having multiple accounts, please let us know via the Report Abuse button and we will investigate. |

Folks,
Neither twosteper or bikerbobd was ever banned. I'm not sure where people got that idea, but both deactivated on their own. We delete very few threads, and ban very few members. Almost always, the offense for banning is for attacking another member. We certainly wouldn't ban someone for saying sug. And we wouldn't ban bikerbobd for this post because it isn't a personal attack on anyone. Just wanted to set the record straight. |

Hi folks,
So sorry about the downtime on the site since yesterday. A bunch of unusual things happened so that our notification process and self-monitoring process for the site didn't work as it normally would. We're going to put in place some new procedures so that hopefully this same problem won't occur again. So sorry again for the downtime. Mike & Vanchau |

It's ok sportsnut, don't worry. A lot of users don't know the way we'd
like them to report bad users. This topic will be great in helping to educate everyone on how we'd like them to notify us of scammers. Thanks again for your help. |

sportnut69 - actually, please DON'T post the name in the forums in case
you are incorrect that they are a scammer. Use the Report Abuse button to notify us privately, and we'll kick them off promptly if they are a bad user. |
