I've found the local cops to be great near me... even in some of my
travels the police officers have usually been very decent. They've got an extremely tough job, especially when people are phoning in the speed traps on the local radio stations hahaha

 I don't know the statistics offhand, but even if they are good, it's still an awful thing... The system is supposed to be set up to help children, which I think it does, most of the time, but losing them is...... |

sorry it's not that I meant to disregard your post... but how can you
assume that all these parents are good parents? I don't doubt that it doesn't happen to some good parents, but how can you tell who is good and who isn't without being the investigator or having first hand experience in the matter? |

I'm a liberal, and I'm for gun control to a degree. Obviously people
who have criminal histories shouldn't be able to register guns.. but I've grown up around them and shot plenty of them and I believe in the right to bear arms. But... I don't carry because I really don't want to shoot anyone. There are other ways to protect yourself besides carrying guns. |
