I'm all for education reform promoting self reliance. Agree...give me
control of my money and let me fund my own retirement through vehicles
such as IRA's/401K's...change the tax structure to strongly promote
retirement savings. Agree that educating people in the skills required
to adequately plan and save would be key to making any of this work.

Can't disagree with the concept...but so many non-partisans just throw
out their left vs right blasts but then offer no solutions to the
problem. That said, I respect everyone's opinion and am open to new
ideas.

Note...I said that Social Security was not designed to be a "primary"
source of retirement. By promoting the sense of entitlement that runs
rampant throughout those on the left, SS has spiraled out of control.
Don't be naive enough to think this problem was created by the current
adminstration (not to say that it has been able to do anything about
it). Until we cut benefits dramtacially and further promote individual
and/or private retirement planning, the problem will not go away. I
personally am not counting on SS to fund my retirement.

Making too much money? So should private healthcare/insurance companies
be in business for some other reason? The quality of care in the US far
surpasses that of the socialized Western European countries. Reason
being, profit provides incentive for new drug and healthcare development
and research. Plain and simple. Social Security and Medicare were not
designed to be the primary source of retirement/healthcare benefits for
retirees.

Okay, I usually just read these and rarely reply but dude that just
isn't right...both that the state of NJ can bend you over like that and
that ladies try to judge you. Hang in there bro...any chick that thinks
less of you because you are doing what it takes to make a living for you
and your girls just ain't worth it. Single dads rock!
