Excuse me for putting a well-deserved damper on these here festivities, but I'd like to ask one question, if I may: Aren't we getting overran with all these "who's the hottest guy" and "who's the hottest girl" threads that pop up here on a daily basis? Are people here so shallow that they require constant admiration and people telling them how hot they think they are every minute? Do some of you people have a machine next to your bed that plays applause when you push a button? You want admiration? Well, here's a simple way to get it--GO OUT, DO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL, AND FREAKING EARN IT! *applauding* DEAR SIR...HOW CAN YOU APPLAUD WHEN YOU LOST YOUR HANDS IN WW2?? By the way, going back to school 7 years ago, brought up my self-esteem and I was able to find the courage to get out of a very physically abusive marriage. Of course, didn't hurt that my guy friends in school were FBI, Sheriffs and Police officers!

Don't consider it, do it. I'm 44 years old and have 1 1/2 years left for my degree in Criminal Justice Admninstration. Worked as a Paralegal for many years. I attended College with 8 children of 9 still at home. It was very hard. I have 5 girls at home still, but I am going back again next year.
I want to show my girls that I CAN do it too. |

We all have our OWN OPINION on this subject. No valid proof of either side. Born gay or choose to be? Will always be a source of extreme debate. Think we all need to RESPECT other people's opinions. No need to agree, just respect the person. Agree with you on that one. Who is anyone to decide if it's in DNA or a "chosen" lifestyle. I'm not going to be the one to determine what it is. Respect. Goes a long way. Opinions are just that. We can agree to disagree, but respectfully. I don't have the answers, not sure anyone really does. I'm not in the mind, heart and soul of a gay person. |

I'm not gay and wasn't born gay so I can't answer this question. sorry My question is that if they are born that way...should they be classified as disabled and given the same protections offered to other disabled people instead of being belittled and abused by our political system? Uhhhh, "disabled". I think not. They live "normal" lives like you and me and I'm sure not going to pay for someone to live because of their sexual preferences!!! Heck no! It's not a handicap and my money can go to better uses, like feeding and clothing homelss children. |
