Hip Hop / Rap Question

Nah, I dont listen to commercial music. Radio is wack, and so are all of them onionheads who ditched their souls for money and fame.
Underground hip-hop mostly, almost no rap at all. Old school all the way, gotta love the 90s. **** Diddy, Mase, Kanye (although he's the most talented but still a douche), etc |

I hated The Game...but that might be mostly to do with Michael Douglas. I cannot stand that guy. Pan's Labyrinth was amazing. I don't think I've seen a movie like that in North America in years. I've seen the reviews for Che and will definitely check that one out. The reviews were stellar but I'd rather here it from someone who isn't a snot film critic ![]() Benicio Del Toro is doing that new werewolf movie soon...Wolfman. Have you seen previews? It looks good and I love him. I have not seen the reviews, although I am sure I will by tomorrow, Del Toro is definitely incredible. And I am certainly not a big fan of Douglas as well... but as a story, it was quite intriguing. Tyler Perry does bring dynamic to a story, although there is more than enough drama in one lifetime to deal with. Without a doubt, intellectual pieces, be it documentary or suspense/mystery films, are much more appreciated than cheap flashy excuses just to entertain. I can imagine of more interesting plots than most of the movies Hollywood has made in the past ten years... of course there have been some good. Mostly foreign or independent flicks, JMO... |

Léon aka The Professional (1994) with Jean Reno was one great film.
A lot of Chow Yun Fat movies from his early days were great, way better than anything he's done in the past 10 years. The Game (1997) w/ Penn & M. Douglas, excellent. who can forget the powerful films such as Casualties of War (1989) or Schindlers List (1993)? Even the recent Pan's Labyrinth (2006) was quite exquisite, definitely beyond my expectations. Che (part one) The Argentine and (part two) Guerrilla (2008) [with Benicio Del Toro] are a must see. |

Hoping that Pixar would only be the graphics and nothing more, they could make a wicked Silver Surfer or Doctor Strange flick. Its doubtful they will do anything anytime soon as Marvel still has deals with other companies for a lot of their character rights, but Disney wants them all back... and maybe that would be good. Especially how Ghost Rider was butchered... or the F4. I gotta say, even the spider-man flicks were complete crap. Lets hope they never give Bret Ratner another shot at one of their spin-offs too

The arrow stayed for possibly three whole days before being treated... the strength and instinct that must have taken.
A very interesting point was discussed the other day... talking about animals who lose limbs and get vicious wounds out in the wild... yet dont seem to be prone to nearly as many infections and additional catastrophe that we would given the same situation. Says something about the nature of their insticts and the ability to heal... definitely something to learn from. What a legendary feline. |

Ok I've been gone for a while, so I'mma jus say... Spider-Man and Deadpool make a great team (Suicide Kings and [I believe] upcoming Spider-Man series) and I tip my cap towards Deadpool, obviously, maybe because I'm slightly insane or that I just enjoy the mix of immaturity mixed with brutality. Spider definitely has his share of funnies though, and I had forgotten until recent readings of past and present issues.
AND HOLY **** The Hulk is dead. Who is Rulk? Is it general Ross? Did A.I.M. make Leonard Samson into a Jekyll/Hyde type schizo? A-Bomb is definitely iller than Abomination, but he's no match for Rulk or Hulk... and with the Dark Reign resuming, is there any hope now that the Green Giant with no finite strength barrier is gone? |

What you put it is what you get back... well, not always, but it does increase the probability. I messaged somebody who hadnt been on this website for over a year.... didnt hear back, as expected, but still had dreams of talking to her. I sent another message maybe a month or two later, and whaddya know... she got at me. Now, things are great.. better than I woulda hoped and it kinda freaks me out... I did not think I'd be falling in love again. Ya just never know....

When my ex smoked it, he ended up blacking out and choking me, I had fingerprint bruises on my neck the next day. Funny too, I didn't say a word to him, he just walked across the room and grabbed me by the throat. Had a totally empty look in his eyes, "no one was home" obviously. I was able to push him off and he stumbled backwards and just walked away and went over to the couch and fell asleep. It was totally bizarre. Wow, that is just complete insanity. That man's got serious mental issues... I am so sorry you had such an experience. |

I probably won't be on much since I'm not feeling well, but I wanted to say this...I know there are other points, but as of right now I can't think straight. but keep in mind that we aren't talking about an adults...we are talking about kids. 1. addictions[/b - an addiction doesn't have to be chemically based. it could be mental...such as food, exercise, dieting, having to HAVE something to relax you (alcohol, drugs) whether it's on a regular basis or not. I don't want my child to use things as a crutch. My brother in law used to think he HAD to smoke a joint to sleep. that is an addiction ad·dict 1 : to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively <addicted to gambling> 2 : to cause addiction to a substance in (a person or animal) 2. gateway drug - this doesn't have to be because the drug is chemically addictive. I know people who thought "I could handle pot and it gave me a buzz...let's see how the others feel" or "pot isn't doing the job anymore so I need something more." Does this happen to everyone???? no. just like alcohol doesn't make everyone an alcoholic or go into heavier things either. for some pot or alcohol does. 3. natural - I have heard the argument how pot is natural so it should be ok. Lager is made from natural ingredients, as well. what about shrooms??? poppy seeds??? not to mention not everything in nature is good for us. 4. smoke - pot burns hotter than nicotine 5. ability - pot DOES slow the bodies responses 6. affects - pot, like other drugs and alcohol...or most anything in life, affects people differently. just because someone maybe ok on pot, doesn't mean the next person would be. my sister and I can't smoke it. Our muscles tighten up so bad it hurts and my sister hallucinates. My neighbor gets paranoid and stalks people. it depends on the person. Shrooms grow off poop! ![]() |
