i was run over by a car while i was crossing the highway, 55 mph was rough on me. i lived and have memories of an experience, was it real? most likely just my mind trying to soothe and keep me sane inside my head.

Been there/Done That ... NO The 'essence' of you (your soul) is a product of chemical-electric firing of synapse. When you die, your body goes into a preservation extreme mode where it fires off anything available to try to jump start life function. During this last ditch effort, you perceive different hallucinogenic manifestations. If you succeed in returning to life, you recall those manifestations as a divine intervention. If you do not return to life, the cells that are starved from oxygen stop functioning and death persists. There is no further firing of the synapse that cause you to have essence. Dead is ... DEAD You have it right i believe. i had an NDE myself and i've no doubt it was all in my mind. interestingly it included no gods or demons, just life going on round me as usual. |

i rather be a skeptic than a cynic. is it possible that a god or many gods or higher power exists? well, sure why not. is it possible there is no higher power? yes possible too. not enough evidence for me to move either way. Not enough for me either and i died 3 times w/ one NDE after i was hit by a car while crossing the road. No God, no Devil came for me. |
