Are you lying if you say you are single after the death of a spouse? Would it be considered deceitful? Is single reserved only for the never married?

Are you lying if you say you are single after the death of a spouse? Would it be considered deceitful? Is single reserved only for the never married? Ask yourself what purpose it serves to state you are single rather than widowed and you will have your answer. Personally, imo, if there's a question as to whether or not something is deceitful, it usually is. |

Yes but its also true that people are now married three times so the assumptions of long term marriage and fidelity are at best tentative. While people find comfort in illusions in the long run one comes to grips with the fallacy and must deal with the reality of contemporary times and not of past decades of perceived fidelity.

single means unattached right? now sharing about how your life was before you met that person would be another story . thats where lies and truths come out. if you are single you are not in any romantic relationship imho

Single is merely unattached. It could mean divorced, never married, or widowed. |
