I heard this recently and was really impressed with it
 not sure if this quote is of Cherokee or Navajo origin
 I have seen it posted in several different ways
but the message is thought provoking & inspirational

its 6.45 here in the uk..its dry and sunny, makes a change here!!..lol..waiting to go to a party.whats everyone up to this evening? I got a date !! It's just 1 pm here in Chicagoland.. I'm about to go do laundry, and then come back here and clean this mess up.. 
She gets off work at 9 pm, so it's going to be a late night 2nite.   awwww... have lots of fun rest & relaxation

or any of the other actual or hypothetical scenerios you pose
I see there are five pages of replies but i have not read any of them
From reading your request i am thinking to myself
well, i do not know enough here to give any help or advice and
& actually this appears to belong in the Category of the Heart
and being that matters of the heart are very very personal
I think that many times, if we are uncertain of how we really feel
and of how to react to certain situations...
it is then that i believe it is absolutely essential
for personal growth to become introspective with yourself
a person needs to take time to get inside of him or herself
and take some time ALONE in meditation & contemplation
i don't think that taking surveys all the time
is going to solve problems
but oftentimes only complicates things
and it is wise to not always subject yourself to the opinions of others
for that has a huge tendancy to confuse a person
and it takes you away from your truest feelings Get Inside of yourself ...
whoever you are
I am speaking generally and not personally
get strong & don't follow the crowd
and find out who you really are and how you truly feel
apart from the opinions of others

Here it is, almost 3am, and I'm awake. No better time to write, eh? I love my country you know it's true I just cannot say ALL I've done for you. I can tell you about Alaska, and Ft Polk and Georgia, Ft Hood But I can't tell you everything it'll do you no good. I can tell you some things you don't want to hear about Soldiers, and War-time but that's not why I'm here. I sit here and ponder just what to write next About Freedom, and Soldiers and how we are Blessed. To live in a land where some take for granted the Freedoms we've fought for, Democracy planted. If it takes root we all will be blessed if it does not, don't second guess the reason we tried- the reason we cried- the reason we died. To call a man Brother when he's not family To call a man Sir when he's not Elderly It's part of our creed, it's part of our need, to be part of the Breed.
