Honda Civics are inexpensive as are the motors and parts, that's why I have 2! Yeah!

OP. I don't consider a front wheel drive car a true sports car, and as you already know Hondas are fwd. Yes they good & reliable & good fun here & there but i am into rear Wheel drive and all Wheel drive. I am part of a Racing Club too & we have drifting events & other events & I have a small garage specifically for maintaining & tuning the cars I have. a Honda NSX is old but still good & can be tweaked well I used to think the same thing...until I tagged along on a joyride around my city and highway in a fully built 500+whp boosted integra smashin 150 on the freeway in like 9 seconds from a rolling 30 start and believe me, they can take corners. The only thing is...it's tricky getting traction and shifting right with such high power in an FF. My buddy drifts an FC (85 RX7) with a chevy small block in it tuned to the hilt, and another drifts a 95 Toyota Cressida with a 2jz block mated to a 1j head, single turbo we got it going on haha. |

My favorite subjects are cosmology and astrology, anthropology, metaphysics and religion. I won't think twice if ever I find a new book in the stands on any of the above subjects. Metaphysics was the one I left out. I also study books on the Universal Law of Attraction as well anything else relative to our created, feeling universe and the fact that we're all created by energy as is the universe, etc. and the power of thought. |

I don't read very often...but when I do, it's always stuff about UFO's, Aliens, and the Hidden Hand. Astronomy, Cosmology, and philosophy. Time travel, the "5th and 6th" dimension, advanced physics, quantum physics. Books about the relationship of time and space, and how to allegedly, bend it. Black holes. And, US, Japanese, and World History. Plus military history. Plus, the Bible Might I also add...model-specific automotive service manuals! |

Let's move in a new direction on this thread: How about some questions: 1. What is your definition of a sports car? What models specifically? 2. What is your stance on modified cars aka "polished turds"? 3. If you could have any car in the world, what would you pick and why? My answers: 1. A car that is faster than a stock v8 and can be fun to take a ride in a lap around a technical circuit in the Eastern hemisphere's racing style, as opposed to a Western "straight line" or "big circle" style racing. Eg: Honda NSX, S2000, Civic Type R, Nissan fairlady Z, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi Evolution, Any Subaru with the "STI" badge, Scion FRS, Focus ST, Camaro SS, any Corvette, GT500, Nissan GTR or any Skyline, and any Euro car that costs more than $100,000. 2. Well..let's see..you can buy a Honda/Toyota/Nissan and for less than $15,000 you can make it outright dominate any $100,000+ car in any type of race. So, this is my chosen route. 3. I would have a 1991 Honda NSX Type R. I'm a Honda guy for life, and the NSX looks very exotic, was built for straight up performance, and is the best Honda has to offer and yes, I AM biased. The only problem I have with it is that it was produced during Japan's "276"hp horsepower ban which was recently lifted, so I would need to put in some work. But the car looks sweet and, most of all, it's a Honda Anybody got something different? |

I drive a Toyota Camry. It's good for me. I can't drive a giant car or truck. In my opinion, toyota, honda, and nissan are the best. I always see 80's and 90's models driving around in my city but..where are the older domestics? They're in junkyards. I'm not talking trash, but voicing my own experience. I don't like large vehicles myself. I prefer performance at a reasonable price, which is why I drive a modded, and tuned Honda Civic. Not just that, but I'm adept in the inline-four engine models and have worked on them for 8 years now and learned a lot. PS, my modded Civic puts out about 150 hp to the ground in a 2400lb chassis, has a stage 3 clutch, and is prepped for turbo upon upgrading fuel delivery just a fuel pump and injectors with resistor box, then a go-autoworks street turbo kit for 230hp to the wheels on stock internals, then eventually I am building an Acura Integra LS block to be frankensteined with a JDM b16a vtec head, and boosted with a turbonetics T3 turbo at about 15lbs of boost with forged internals and built valvetrain for around..let's say 450 horsepower to the ground Your car talk is making me hot. Everything makes you hot |

I drive a 13 Honda Fit. For most part like it. I will sell it to you Jman in about ten years way after it is paid off. Prior a 2000 Toyota Corolla with an engine that I totally rebuilt. I did have a 96 Honda Civic 4 door that is still in my picture. I liked that car probably more than my Fit. 1.6 single overhead cam motor with a five speed transmission. The motor was extremely easy to work on. I even tore apart the transmission and replaced the input shaft bearing. Unfortunately the car was a real rust bucket. Even though I replaced the undercarriage that held the engine and transmission, I still traded it in for the Toyota. A HUGE mistake, the Corolla is a crappy car especially the 2000. I bought the Fit to improve my credit score, since I am going to buy a house. No credit makes it really hard to get a mortgage. Ironically my dream car is a Toyota Sienna between 2006 and 2010 with Leather interior. Probably will get it in the Fall when I have more money. I just paid off my appendix surgery and week stay at a hospital. Ironically I detail vehicles for the County here in Florida, I am not a mechanic. Just my passion. Pure sweetness. I bought my first car at 16 years old before I had a license, 1993 Honda Civic sedan with the d15b7 motor. It had a loud muffler and I learned how to drive standard in it. I blew the motor up within two weeks..so I got online and started reading the forums on Hondaswap, Honda-Tech, etc. and purchased haynes as well as Factory Service Manuals. I was in the auto shop in high school, surrounded by tools and lifts. Then, I saved up $1100 and had a JDM-spec D15B SOHC VTEC motor, transmission, and p08 ecu shipped to the shop. I pretty much taught myself due to my instructor being lazy and sitting around, smoking cigars all day. So, I taught myself (with little help from a friend) how to swap a motor and transmission, re-wire everything, etc. and spent my two week Christmas vacation at the shop doing the swap. Everything took off from there that motor pulls hard, so I blew like $5,000 on that car in parts and then wrecked it..still miss it and been a Honda guy ever since. |

Yeah I do need to relax about everything really. Going through a career change, leaving a good paying job that I hated for a job that pays $600 less per month but that I enjoy, having to give up the car I'm making payments on and buy one out right with accumulated retirement check, and single and looking all at once. Perhaps it should be put on hold?

Well, you both are absolutely right! So, now that I've decided to let it make me stronger, I am left with a blank slate with nothing on it lol
