“What kind of fool am I”? He never really answered the question, But He pretty much nailed it when he asked it in the first place. Seriously, Just what kind of fool AM I? Another down trodden Beaten hearted Half baked half started Silly fool of a woman Who continually Makes Breaks and partakes In the same silly damn Mistakes Time After time After time… Jesus Christ, It’s got to be better to live alone With vague longings Than to constantly open my mouth For the next guaranteed kick in the Teeth that comes my way every time I try to ”share myself”…. But then again Maybe the real problem is That there isn’t really anything to “share”? Maybe I’m really nothing more Than an arrogant Bombastic Cheap pseudo intellectual Who just sounds vaguely interesting until I open my mouth And reveal the Frightened Lonely And desperately love starved fraud I really am… I date men And I can see it in their eyes Yeah, they think I’m pretty… Even mildly, If not wildly Intellectually entertaining … …. Until they catch that faint scent of Love Me! Need Me! Want Me! Mingled with my overly Expensive designer perfume. Ah, no matter what the cost There is no perfume fine enough Or strong enough To disguise a woman’s real fears Tears and needs. I’ll have to send a strongly worded Letter to Mr. Hugo Boss about THAT Little Misconception …. “Hey Hugo! 70 bucks for an ounce of “Woman” And you can’t get that disguise to last Long enough to hide the typically needy Love starved woman I hide in self loathing? Hey wait a second. $70 Bucks an ounce for a cheap disguise? Well at least now I KNOW what kind of Fool I am. A broke one. |
